We Did It! Wednesday~~A Hunting We will Go!!

WELCOME TO THE 3RD WE DID IT! WEDNESDAY!!!

If you are new, this is a fun event that promotes and encourages quality one-on-one time with our children and grandchildren (small or grown!) and is a way for us to share some of our ideas, and build into our family's rich heritage.

If you would like to join in, please comment and I will include your first name and the link to your post. Be sure to link back here so people can see what others are doing!!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
As some of you know, Me and Maddy went hunting with my hubby a couple of months ago.
It was about 27 degrees outside, and we were in this box tree stand now known to us as "The Cozy Condo" . The only window is the one you see here.
I couldn't see the area where the deer should come through, but they could. I spent 3 1/2 hours in here the first day being quiet, still, and staring into the same patch of woods the whole time!! What we won't do for love, huh?
This is where we "should" have seen deer, with the emphasis on "should"!! It was very peaceful and serene out there, one of the things hubby enjoys most! (guess so he lives with chatty Becky!!)
This is the view if I leaned a couple of feet to my left
Here is the bleary-eyed trio the next morning inside the cozy condo seizing a Kodak moment. I can't even tell you how many layers of clothes this "sunshine gal" had on, but I needed every one of them to stay warm.
We did see two does and a buck the second day towards the very end of the hunt, but none close enough for a shot.
Maddy absolutely loved this time with us! We had a blast mocking the way Tiffany (from a hunting show called Up Close With Lee and Tiffany that my hubby watches) whispers when she's hunting...we can imitate her perfectly!!
We couldn't stop laughing a couple of times, and Randy just turned and would stare at us!! Oh MYLANTA !!! It was so funny!!
This is Maddy going into the woods a bit to look at a trickle of a creek
A light rain began as we left, and I took this pic of Florida Holly Tree berries with raindrops on them. Couldn't get close enough because of the briars
We ate at the hunting camp Saturday night, and met some wonderful people. We will be joining this camp this year, and we can't wait. It's a real family atmosphere, and we just love that!!
Ya'll are the BEST!!
Have a joyful day!
Becky
  2. Thanks for adding me to your list!! I think it really must be love for you to sit in the tree thing for hours!!! I couldn't have done it...and be quiet??? Impossible!! What a cute picture of the three of you!
    Anyway, as to my comforter set, I realized after I purchased it that it does match my blog!!! How funny is that??? We had the room painted for about 2 years now. I asked hubby if he could repaint it and he just looked at me, so I think we're staying with the red!!!
  5. Dearest Becky - I love these posts, as you know, and especially the sentiment behind them. And I think that the picture of you all in the Coop is just wonderful. I think that it is incredible that you do so many lovely things with your daughter. You are such a great example - there is nothing that we cannot turn into fun with our daughters - we might just need to add a few layers first!!
    Lots of love and prayers coming your way this evening, as always, Fiona x
  6. Becky, looks like a fun time had by all! Were you in the Ocala National Forest? I see hunters a lot when I'm driving through there, to-ng and fro-ing from North Florida to Central and back. I've even see two bears!
  9. I am amazed at your patience in sitting anywhere for that long! I think I would have had the screaming heebie jeebie's...and that's not pretty! True love!
    It's so wonderful you were able to have the celebrations for your mother. I wish I had done Mother's 80th but she was so ill. We lost her last July right before her 82nd.
  10. Hey Becky,
    Your family and you are beautiful...it looks like you all had a wonderful time and made a special memory too. I love the view from inside of the hunting condo...being out in nature is so much fun isn't it? It sure was cold here too over the weekend....it's warming up now. Spring will be here before we know it! Yay! Hope you have a great week!
  11. What a wonderful get away, instead of sitting in the tree, your in a tree house! lol I know its tree stand house. I thought it was so funny, you got to go up in the trees, and shake a little in the cold, I told you my toes were cold for some reason. lol We have not done this since our girls were small. It was so fun, I always stayed at the camp house cooking for all, and taking care of children. I miss somethings in life. Thank you for your lovely comment, who knows life journey can take you somewhere you least expect. I have worked all down in your area. Thank for wanting to get to know me better and have tea. It could happen. When life quits hitting me so hard, I plan to go to Cross City, FL I know you are probably several hours away. I had 3 employees New Smyrna, use to send them home on the train to Deland. I flown airplanes, and flew in many small and jets, but never been on the train. Maybe one day. I been praying for hours these days, for my family. When they hurt I hurt. I am putting them first. Going behind Doc advice and not following his orders. I can't I have to help my family, I feel that why he has let me live these last six years.I have not told my whole story, for it would scare too many into thinking it may happen to them should they have cancer. I have almost died 3 times. My family are what the most imporant to me. I not suppose to go back to 2006 for it was a nightmare, that left me with more surgeries. Somewhere over the rainbow, touches my heart. I made a slide show of my family and it is the song on it. For I new death was near. But God kept me here for some reason beyond me. One day when this is over I may write it all down, my whole story, but not anytime soon. After sitting in the tree with you, I saw My Blue Birds! That's Home for me! Long story.
