I am thankful for things I sometimes forget to be thankful for...
~~~ Clean air to breathe
~~~ Clean water to drink
~~~ The sun that always rises
~~~ Gravity...that I just don't get launched into space!
~~~ Gas for my car, so I can go, see, do!!
~~~ My PC!! What delight and inspiration my bloggy friends add to my life!!
~~~ The beautiful fingerprint of God Almighty in the petals of a flower
~~~ Waking to birds singing "good morning" each day
~~~ Watching a butterfly flutter by!!
~~~ Toys scattered around...the children who play with them
Hope your Thursday is a thankful, joyful one!!
Blessings,
Becky
I agree with so many!! I love to remind myself to be thankful for the little things that I forget about. Like my garage!! I love being able to get in my car and not get wet! I'm also very thankful for my computer and the doors it has opened for me with all my blogging friends, especially YOU!!! Enjoy your day!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely list you shared today. I am reminded of our early morning birdsongs this time of year. I'd have to say, though, that one of the things we tend to take for granted for which I am MOST grateful is air-conditioning. Our summer temps can rise to 115 degrees and that tends to make me very grumpy. LOL
ReplyDeleteThanks for a great list of blessings, Lana
Thank you for the wonderful reminder that we all have so much to be thankful for. Sometimes I watch the news and it is so easy to get negative and forget that our God rules and reigns and takes care of us everyday.

I went right down the list with you, Becky!--I do enjoy butterflies, but won't see them for a few month:)
ReplyDeleteI find myself thanking God when I hear our furnace kick on --for a warm cozy home- and sometimes when I'm at the sink for instant water when I turn on the faucet:)
And I'm so thankful for friends like you:))
Hugs,

Thursday is a great day to pause in thankfulness: somewhat a carryover of Thanksgiving being on Thursday. I love what you wrote.
ReplyDeleteI am thankful for gravity, too. I'm just not fond of how it's pulling my parts to a lower level! {{GRIN}}

Miss Becky~ Thanks for the reminder....wonderful gifts come in small packages. Not necessarily wrapped with paper and trim. The bud of a flower,is a nice present of the beauty that's to come.
ReplyDeleteI appreciate your visit. I always enjoy meeting new friends.
Sweet Wishes,
Sara
What wonderful things to be thankful for...things we often overlook. I love your pretty picture!
ReplyDeleteBecky...
ReplyDeleteSuch wonderful things to be thankful for...there is nothing like the sun rising, a glass of cool water or the giggle of a little child! What wonderful gifts GOD has given!
Have a great day!
Hugs~T
Oh Becky! You are so right on. We take the obvious for granted way to often. Every day is so full of miracles. And we always just expect that what we had yesterday will be the same tomorrow.

Becky - thanks for voting for my photo. Yeah, I couldn't believe the number of votes for some of them. Wow! I don't even know that many people - lol. I am just glad I made the cut. I didn't know what to expect. Thanks so much :O).
ReplyDeleteBecky, this is so beautiful! I loved this so much. I hope it's okay for me to add your blog to my roll.

I agree with every one of them! Great list! Sometimes it is the things we see and do every day that we forget to be thankful for! Thanks for the reminder! Melinda
ReplyDeleteHi Becky, thanks so much for visiting. I have enjoyed your blog and would like to come back. I share with you many of the things that you're thankful for. It's so important for us to call these things to mind often and thank God for them!
ReplyDeleteThis was great,after the grands left, I sat outside, and just listen to the birds, tractors running in the fields, my goat's baa,cows mooing in the distance, horses running and playing, Frogs croaking. I did this for that morning my 3 year old granddaughter, she lives next to me, she had walked over we were watching her from the window. I open the door and she says, Granna, listen the birds are singing, where do you think they are. In the trees, I say. Words from the mouth of a babe, to remind me to listen to the sounds of nature. So peaceful!
