Our Purpose Here...

Early this morning I read in Romans 14:7 that "None of us liveth to himself." What a loving reminder from God of our purpose here. We are here to show God's love to everyone we come in contact with, and share the gospel of truth.

There is a family, one I do not know personally, that desperately needs the prayers, love and support of God's people.

You have probably seen this button in my sidebar. I encourage you to click it, and visit this blog.

A sweet, precious infant girl is struggling for her life. The pictures are difficult to view, and very compelling. In the Mom's most recent post, she makes a plea for prayer for herself; very compelling as well.

I hope you will join me and the others who are committed to lifting this family up in prayer. In my wildest imaginings, I can't even begin to fathom how difficult something like this would be. It makes me feel weak to even think about it.

Today is a fresh, new beautiful Lord's day. May our prayers be a fragrant aroma to our heavenly Father, and may we always be moving forward in giving feet to out faith. After all, to truly know... is to do.

With thanksgiving and praise to our Wonderful Lord and Savior,

  1. Hi Becky! Nice to meet you. Dropping by for just a second. I've had a very busy weekend and trying to get everything done before another week of work starts. I seem to get nothing done Mon-Fri but work at work. I'm doing a major overhaul on all the junk in our house and John is putting up shelving for me. As soon as I am done I will post some photos. But I'm looking forward to getting back to read all your post. (I'm following you.)

Your page looks like mine. Same background and flowers in your header. heehee

I will be praying for this family.

  2. I went and read the whole blog and will keep her and the family in prayer.

    Roberta Anne

  3. Such a lovely family, I know the Mother's heart is breaking. I will pray for this little one daily.

  4. Such a gorgeous new header for your blog, such thoughtful and considered words in your post, and such an incredible story about a determined little soul.

We will all keep this family in our prayers Becky - they are in our thoughts this evening, as are you and your family.

Blessings for the coming week, Fiona x

  5. Becky,
I am always so blessed when I visit with you, yes, I will join with you in praying for this family.

  6. Hi Becky!

Thanks for stopping by again! We're doing great as newlyweds and had a wonderful first Valentine's together! He even surprised me with a very unexpected gift that I'll be sharing tomorrow!

Looks like you had a wonderful Valentine's...those are such beautiful flowers!

I've visited Karg family's website once and will be praying along with you!

Have a wonderful weekend and I'd be so happy if you joined in on Worship and Praise Sunday once in awhile! :)

    In Him,

  7. I'm on my way to visit the blog you linked to. Thanks for sharing this Becky. God bless!

  8. Hi Becky~
This post really touches my heart & spirit. Thank you. I will be praying in earnest for this family. May God bless you for passing it along.
We must uphold one another & "bear one anothers burdens" in the family of Christ.

  9. Hi Becky, Thanks for the reference on the book on how to love. I will be checking that out for sure. I am also going to be praying for the family you speak of in your post. May God's love be all around their family. And of course I look forward to knowing you better as well. Jaime

  10. I've been to their blog already and my heart breaks for them. Been praying and hoping for the miracle this little girl needs!!

  11. Just in this past week I have been checking this family's blog. My heart aches along with the mother's. They are in my prayers also. Thank you for letting us know about them. I would not have known if I did not see the link on yours.

  12. Becky, I just prayed, but I will be sure and check out the blog. Thanks for the heads up.

  13. What a beautiful blog you have; I am glad to meet you.

I visited the site about the baby and her struggle for life. I cannot imagine what her parents are enduring, but thank God they have faith and love, and the prayers of so many people, including those of us they will never meet.

    Thank you --- Cass

Thank you so much for taking the time to share some JOY!
You're a blessing to me!
