This is the card I am sharing this week. And of course...I had to make a birdy card!! :)
For this project I used a premade notecard , green scrapbook paper, and pale green flecked card stock, a birdy stamp and gold stamp pad. I used a different ribbon than pictured. It is 1/4" organza light brownish-gold.
First I stamped the birdy in the lower corner of my cardstock
I took the gold stamp pad and dabbed it around the edges to highlight the torn edge
Next I cut a rectangle out of the green paper, and with special scissors, scalloped the edge, and dabbed gold randomly over the paper and around the edge
Apply the birdy piece to the green piece, and then to the card.
For added detail and to show some of the pink inside of the card, I scalloped just the top and bottom corners.

Hi Becky!
ReplyDeleteThanks for checking out our blog. Yes, this is the same Dr. and family! You have a great memory! I love your blog....and all your crafts! What a special gift you have and thanks for sharing. You can check out Scott's office and what he's doing now on our blog. I noticed you're 'dieting' and he's got an awesome weight loss program. It really helps attack visceral fat (dreadful words I know) and keeps the weight off!! Check it out at www.everythingwell.com! Glad to hear from you and hope you stay in touch!

Such a nice card! I really like that little bird stamp. Torn and inked edges are one of my favorite techniques.
