A Great Goal!!

My friend, Lois, at Walking on Sunshine, has made it her goal to apply the Biblical principles found in Proverbs 31. Coincidently, I am memorizing this chapter with Beth Moore's blog, and began applying these truths to my marriage about 3 1/2 years ago. What God has done in our relationship is wonderful! And I thought it was good already!!

If you would like to join in, go to her blog and leave a comment! The following is copied from her blog:

God’s will for every Christian wife is that her most important ministry be to her husband. (Genesis 2:18) After a wife’s own personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ, nothing else should have greater priority. Her husband should be the primary benefactor of his wife’s time and energy, not the recipient of what may be left over at the end of the day. Whether her husband is a faithful Christian man or an unbeliever, God wants every Christian woman to be a godly wife -- an excellent wife.

  2. What a gorgeous, inspirational thought! My darling husband is not home this weekend, but this will give me something to think about between now and him getting home. You are such a treasured find!

  3. It took me awhile to learn that taking care of my husband and my home, my family and creating a nest of safety far from the world is my ministry. Once can get so busy at church that you lose sight of the important things.

  5. Thanks Becky, you are a very kind, sweet person. I spent most of my weekend working on my devotional. I hope it comes out okay!!! And most importantly that no one thinks I'm perfect, which I am by far NOT. Hope your Sunday went well and the week ahead will be a blessed one for you. I am so overwhelmed at times of the goodness of God to bring strangers into our lives in such an unusual way!

  6. My mother used to be on a committee with the National church in the Lutheran Church with the focus of Ministry in Daily life. That is what we do each day. Usually it is our family. but it can be our job or other things too. The point was to realize we are Christains daily. Not just on Sundays. I often try to remind myself of that. What is my Ministry in Daily Life?
