Kelli graciously hosts this show and tell..Thank you, Kelli!! Hope you'll check out her blog and all the other show and tell participants! You can click here http://kellishouse.blogspot.com/ to see more!!
Today I am sharing with you a basket made from Christmas cards that my Mom made 25-30 years ago with her church for a fundraiser. She also made one for each of her six children. This is mine, and I love it more each year! They cut out the cards, punched holes around them, crocheted them together and put a clear sealer over it all. The cards are so sweet. My Mom really enjoyed making these. I'm still not great at photography, but I think you can see the detail, and how pretty it is.
Have a joyful weekend!!

ReplyDeleteWow...the most important part is that your mom made it and when you look at it you can just picture her hands crocheting it! What a beautiful treasure! Thanks for sharing and for stopping by! Hope your day is great.

There are so many talented people out there. That is very clever.
ReplyDeleteThis is a great idea. I have saved a bunch of Christmas cards. I need ideas for them. I have seen several now. So I think I will continue to save my Christmas cards. But I need to pull them together into one place, like store all in a box or something.
ReplyDeleteHow smart! AND what a treasure from your mom-thanks for sharing:)
ReplyDeleteThis is lovely, and so much more special having been made just for you.

Hi Becky...thanks for visiting me today. Your basket is so pretty. I have seen them before, but I really like the cards your mom chose. So sorry that you lost both your parents so quickly. Life is difficult, but wonderful. I am happy to see that the Lord has walked with you through that journey and you are on the side of joy again! Hope to see you again soon.
