Destinations

walking

I am the queen of one liners and quotes; any little saying that is full of power and thought provoking.

Today I was reminded of one of my favorites…

THE MAN {WOMAN} WHO WALKS WITH GOD ALWAYS REACHES HIS DESTINATION.

We really have no idea what crazy turn our life could take at any given moment, do we?  Oh we plan and do and strive to accomplish, but we can get derailed, sidetracked, surprised, shocked,  and shaken along the way.

I can tell you, having an appendectomy was definitely NOT what I had planned for ushering in this new year!!  And I’m sure that my dear friend Lois at Walking on Sunshine, wasn’t planning on her holidays and new year including her hubby being deployed to Afghanistan. Hope you’ll pop over and encourage her heart today!

What a wonderful thing to know that NO MATTER WHAT LIFE HOLDS ON ANY GIVEN DAY, if we are walking with God, and committed to learning and living by His precepts,  He is right there with us, and He will see to it that we arrive where we need to be!!

What a blessed assurance in these uncertain times!!

1010

Are you walking hand in hand with God, my friend?  There truly is no better thing to do!!!

Grab a hold of His strong, mighty hand, and let Him walk you through all the challenges of this life!!

May His love rain down on you today and meet your every need!

Joyfully,
Becky

  1. Thanks, Becky! I love hearing your power-filled lines- especially from the Bible! You have a sweet gift of encouragment and turning minds and hearts to the Word and God's love for us. Thank you so much!

Even is we've made that decision years ago to walk with the Lord, so often, we still forget to keep ahold of His hand and will go off on our own to look at this or that. Thanks for the reminder to hold on tight--so the He can "lead us into paths of righteousness...".

Love you, Becky--wish we lived next door! I'm getting ready for our trip today- so better get at it:)

    Hugs,
    Linda

  2. Morning Miss Becky,
How true, how true, you are never expecting life's lil or big surprises, cause life is what happens when we are making our plans! lol
But so great to be able to have that wonderful and blessed assurance that the Lord of all creation is there for us no matter what! He was sure with us when Jimmy got evaced to the hospital, cause given the circumstances we should have had a sense of panic, but we felt no sense of panic at all. God is great, God is good, and God loves us, and has so much good
in store for us, if we will only but trust in Him!!
Hope you are feeling great today,
    Love ya hon, Nellie

  3. Oh Becky you'll never know how this blessed me this morning. It is soo true. The one thing we can count on for sure in this life, is NOTHING is ever just as we planned it. How wonderful is it really to know that NOTHING ever surprises Him, or catches him off guard, or happens outside of His plans and purposes. What an awesome place for us to be in the shelter of His arms...Thanks for posting this, I soo needed it. Hugs to you, Debbie

  4. Great post, Becky! I try to remember to take Him everywhere with me... shopping, to lunch, on my blog, wherever. Apparently, I did not take Him with me when I said something ugly when someone honked at me as I was backing my van into a spot that someone was trying to reserve for me so I could pick up a large item. On second thought, God was with me, but He averted His eyes in horror and shook His gentle head. He's a gentleman, you know, and I acted like anything but the lady I'm supposed to be. ;-)

Okay, I will remember that I am the daughter of the Most High God, an inheritor of the Kingdom of Heaven, and should behave as such. Thanks for the reminder. I'm giving myself a pass, though, because the guy really was obnoxious... but then again, love hardly notices when others do it wrong. That's a toughy! ;-) Okay, I was wrong. Boy that was hard! LOL!

    XO,

    Sheila :-)

  5. What a beautiful post. Thank you for mentioning me. Walking with God doesn't always mean it will be easy, but He always holds my hand. Always.

    Love that picture!

    Have a wonderful day!

  6. So glad to hear that you are doing better Becky. Just keep doing nothing so you don't end up back at the hospital. We don't want that.

I've never been called a "she-ro" before. Thanks. Kind of wild being I don't think that I do much. You are a hoot!

Loved you pics from Blue Spring. That would be so awesome to go see. The alligators and the manatees! I would sit for hours watching the mantees. They are so cute!!! And that clear blue water! OMGosh! You would surely find me down at the park.

Take care dear. Don't do a thing! Have a glorious weekend Becky!
    Love and hugs!

  8. Beautiful, Becky! And timely for me!

I just wrote about this very thing on my prayer blog, about how we have plans for our lives that are sometimes very different from the Plan God Has for us!
And we have to remember that He is the Author of our lives.
    Blessings to you!
    Love to you,
    Eileen

  12. Amen and thank you! We may make our plans but the Lord directs our paths. It is so wonderful to wait on God and His timing. We have registered our lamp business name and have a business liscence and p.o. box for our business. Rich told his boss he would no longer do service calls after September 1st. So these next few months will be getting all the details together and launching our web site and business. Please keep us in your prayers! Thank you so much dear friend! Hugs, Elena

  13. Morning Beck,
Jim' still sleeping in cause we stayed up late watching a movie and didn't go to bed till almost 2:30. Can you say Crazy!! lol
It was a wonderful movie tho, he just happened on, course, we know that is not true, it was a divinely appointed movie!! and it was truly a neat movie. Will tell everyone about it soon.
It would actually be a good Valentines Day movie to watch!
Hope you are doing well and getting better every
day. Wanted to call this morning but figured Randy is home and didn't want to intrude on your time together! So thought I would just send you a message. Let's try to get together this week okay! Praying for you girlie, and hope their is a bigger spring in your step every day.
Yes, wasn't the weather so awesome those 2 days
and the strawberries were awesome too! I bought cherries on Thursday and they are soooo delicious as well. I saw a pic in a magazine of chocolate covered cherries with the stems on and they looked yum yum yummy! Think I would like to try that for Valentines day.
    Love ya hon,
    Nellie
