The Birds Are Singing…

HAPPEE FRIDAY YA’LL!!!!

And yes…the birds are singing, the sun is shining, I don’t have to wear my sweats today to be warm…truly life is good!!!

I am healing well, and got a full nights sleep last night which has made all the difference in the world!!

I sure do wish I was here…

But that will come in a week or so.  We are all just so excited that the Florida deep freeze has come to an end!!  We LOVE our sweater weather, but this freezing stuff just doesn’t cut it around here!!

Thank you again for the outpouring of prayers, love and concern for me sweet friends.  God is good all the time, and has certainly been good to me.  My Dr. thought it was a gall bladder issue, but last Friday the pain became more localized and I began to run a fever so I went to the ER, and it was indeed my appendix.

I’d give each of you a gorgeous bouquet of these if I could…

Please don’t forget to ask for the Lord’s mercy on the survivors in Haiti.  Our oldest daughter Sam’s best friend’s parents are missionaries in Port Au Prince, and are ok, but quite shaken as you might imagine.  They continue to have tremors which must be frightful.

Have an absolutely delightful weekend, and remember that the God who holds the universe in place loves you with a perfect love!!!

Bouquets of Love to you!!!
Becky

  2. Hi Becky, I am so sorry to hear you were sick. You sound like you are feeling much better now and I am happy for you. That cold weather sure was something wasn't it? I still have some snow in my yard. It was big fun for the kids though. Hope you continue quickly on your journey to healing.

I am praying for everyone in Haiti. It is just heart breaking! I plan to make a donation very soon.

  4. I'm hearing the birds way up here, too, Becky!! Imagine that! We still have alot of snow still on the ground, but temps are now getting above 32 degrees during the days, so we're seeing some melting! Yay!!
I'm so glad to hear that you are getting some good sleep and praying for your quick and painless healing, sweet girl!

    Take care, Becky!

    Hugs,

  8. Glad to hear you're feeling better - I love your encouraging posts. They're certainly a breath of fresh air with all the personal 'drama' that seems to be published.

  10. Hello Becky, I came over to visit the poor patient. It sounds like you are doing well and staying cheerful. Our prayers are answered if all is going as expected. I am thankful as are all of your friends and family. The sunshine is bright so we must be thankful for warmer weather too. I sure am, although we still have snow. Not as much though.

The earthquake disaster is overwhelming to say the least. My prayers are with the suffering constantly. I am so glad your friends are alright.

Don't get frisky yet Becky. You still have lots of healing going on.

Love you and wish you well my sweet friend.
    Love and hugs, Jeanne

  12. Becky it sounds like you've bounced back really fast from your appendix surgery, and I'm so glad. Enjoy your nice weather. It actually got up to the low 60s today here in NC and it was just wonderful. Our town park was filled with people out walking and hordes of young kids were at the playground. It was so nice to see everybody out and about after our long cold spell.

  13. Dear Becky, I am so glad you are doing better. You have been in my thoughts and prayers! I am also glad that it has warmed up there. I know it is a real hardship on warm climates to get a severe cold snap! Take care dear friend, Hugs, Elena

  15. Appendix????? Who authorized this? Have they been getting you the right flavor jello? Must have been scry not knowing what was wrong, but I am glad all is well now and you are on the road to recovery. I see the sun has come out to lift your spirits! Good thing is that this isn't going to cut into your precious beach time. God must have scheduled this in the winter so you would be all better to head back to the white sand! I've got a mean chicken soup recipe (does that count for surgeries too or just colds?)if you need it! Loving thoughts from Kansas traveling mue (sp?) rapidpido to Florida for your speedy recovery!

  19. Beautiful post!
So glad you are on the mend and that your weather is warming up.
Our weather is better too, in the mid 40's, it feels like Summer!

My prayers are with the victims in Haiti and those who work to help them in their time of need, and also the many missionaries who devote their lives to God's Work.
    Love to you,
    Eileen

  20. Hi Becky...hope recovery is still going well and you are getting lots of rest and time to do a few things you normally might not have time for. Thanks for the comment on Life By George. Scot got me a coat for Christmas, but I had tried it on...so the Lodge skillet was my surprise. He usually uses lots of duck tape, etc. to wrap my gift, but this year, he used screws to secure my surprise in a homemade wooden box he made. He had wrapped a screwdriver and stapled it to the top of my gift, so I'd have to use the screwdriver to open the wooden box. The funny part is that he didn't know Cale had bought him a cordless drill for Christmas....so the drill was Scot's! But I borrowed it and opened my wooden box! ha.
He's always mischievous when it comes to gifts! ha.

You take care....have a terrific Monday.

    Love ya,
    Liesa

  21. Glad you're doing better!!! The picture of the beach looks so pretty! I haven't been to the beach in 2 years and probably won't get there this summer either with hubby gone. Just have no desire to go on a vacation while he's fighting a war!

Glad your friends in Haiti are doing okay. What an awful thing to happen and how horrible that their government is completely useless in helping their own people!!! Thankful for our beautiful country to always reach out and help those in need!

    Enjoy the sunshine!!
