Wishes and Misses

I didn’t author this, but this is my wish {prayer}for you…

A Day Just for You

sunrise-over-ocean-14531279645523Mguv

A day of blessings filled to the brim,

a day of good things that come from Him.

A day of beauty, a day of grace...

a day of sunshine touching your face.

A day that keeps you in peace and rest,

a day that brings you all of God's best.

~~~~~~~~~
I have been feeling so very blessed, and
so thankful for the amazing love of God.
I have to tell you, though, that part of my
heart is 12 hours away and I have been really
missing these two more than I can say.
This is my Sam and her daughter Emily.
Things are moving along in their new location. I told
her I have been praying for God’s will
NOT for Becky’s will…as hard as that is sometimes.
My heart longs to have them back here, three minutes
away so we can enjoy beachin’ it together again, and
just hanging out.
Sam told me the other day that Emily was reminiscing
about being at the beach…how cute is that?
We talk often and that’s a joy for sure!
~~~~~~~~~

I have been hard at work on my upcoming Etsy store
and so much more.  I am so excited and so ready
for my grand opening!!  I’ll keep you posted!!!

Have I told you lately how precious each of you
are to me?  You sure know how to make my day!

Your friendships are simply the BEST gifts!

Lots of Love and Hugs!
Becky

  1. OH, Emily is an absolute sweetie!! But, I can't wrap my mind around the fact that she is Sam's little girl. Sam remains fixed in my mind as a lovely 18 year old young lady. I can hardly believe she has changed so much that I hardly recognize her...or that she is now a momma.

    I can only imagine how much you miss them. Maybe this time far apart will only be for a short season. Hope so...'cause I'm a believer in families being close. When we moved away, we took our kids away from the best grandparents in the world, and it left a huge void in their lives.

    Love and hugs,
    Patti

  6. I love this poem, and although I can't *completely* identify with being so far away (yet), I sure do know how much I miss it that my daughter is not with me every day. I miss her terribly and dread when it is both of them.

    Like you, I pray God's will and not mine and just know that I can trust him.

    PS. How pretty is Sam? And how precious is Emily!

  9. Hello Becky,

    Thank you for the wonderful poem you have shared with us. I know how much my family means to me and I cannot imagine how I would feel if either of my boys moving away. I have a difficult enough time dealing with my parents living in Maine. But it if is God's will, then so be it.

    I look forward to the opening of your etsy shop!

  13. Hi Becky, thanks for stopping by The Hut and introducing yourself, it led me to your lovely blog. Sorry you missed Sheila's party, but I'm sure we'll be meeting sometime in the future for sure.

    I read back about your trip to the Springs, how inviting that water looked! I agree with you about Jekyll Island, that was one of the first places I went after I moved here recently and it is now one of my favorite places!

  19. A mountain good morning to you dear Becky. Thank you for the beautiful poem and photo. Those beach filled days will forever be in my heart.

    Your daughter is beautiful. She sure looks like her mom. Your granddaughter is darling. I can well imagine how much you miss them.

    I am soooo happy our daughter is able to spend this time with us. Even though she is recovering from surgery. Bill's sister and husband is here too. No wonder I am behind in my visiting. smile.

    Have a wonderful day. I hope you are feeling well. Prayers are daily for you dear Becky.
    Love, Jeanne

  21. Hi Becky! It is so nice to meet you. Thank you for stopping by my blog today and for becoming a follower.

    Oh my goodness, how your daughter and granddaughter look like YOU!! I understand fully the yearning for them to be living closer again. Our oldest daughter, husband and our only 2 grandchildren live 9 hrs away from us and we miss them so much. Thank goodness for Skype cameras and telephones!!

    Hey goodluck on opening your new Etsy Shop! I just opened mine the end of May so I am really new at it too.
