I read this quote this morning
and it really resonated with me.
Many times when we claim we are
waiting on God, He is waiting on us.
Does this speak to you at all?
Sometimes when God has said, “Go”, we
continue to sit, to bide our time.
Why do we wait when God says go?
Sometimes we simply over analyze things.
Sometimes our fears get the best of us.
The way may seem too narrow;
the odds too great to imagine taking
the risk.
And sometimes, we just can’t trust God
enough to lead where we can’t see.
Many years ago I was told that if we
observe nature, we will see that almost
nothing in nature sits still.
By God’s design, the very life of the
world He created for us to enjoy, is
constantly in motion.
Most things that sit still get stagnant,
erode, or are in the process of dying,
and end up withered and barren.
What if we always choose to stay where we “feel” safe?
All through the Bible God speaks to His people
telling them to GO! Be on the move.
He has given us His power through the Holy Spirit
that lives in those who confess Christ Jesus.
He calls us to be conquerors.
Why do we settle for just barely skimming by?
Has He said “GO” to you about something?
He has to me, and I am GOING!! (after not listening
to Him for a little while) Thank You for forgiving
me, Lord!!
If He has said go to you, stop waiting
for more direction from Him…
Simply GO! Get on the move ! Take
those first steps in the direction
He is leading and He will
guide you all the rest of the way!!
This life He has given us is an amazing adventure!
I don’t want to miss out on His best for me,
not even for a moment!!
Have a joyful Sunday!
Love ya!
Becky
AMEN Becky! That is a good word. I needed that today. I am staying with my Dad so my Mom can go to church. Your post was just as good as being in church. Thanks for listening to your Spirit and posting it. Beautiful pics too. Have a blessed day. You are an inspiration.

Beautifully said! I am guilty of this...of not moving when God says "go". And yet, whenever I finally get going, the path always opens up and becomes clear...thanks to the Holy Spirit. Why do I not listen in the first place?!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your wisdom today...and always.
I choose JOY!
Jane (artfully graced)

ReplyDeleteOh Becky I can't tell you enough how much I needed to hear this tonight, and Amen to every word. I too need to be obedient and get myself going. Thanks for this pep talk. Hugs and blessings to you, Deb
ReplyDeleteOh, Becky I loved this!! I love the part about nature generally being in motion. That is such a profound observation.
ReplyDeleteI'm ready to GO. I feel as if I have my bags packed, and I'm sitting at the depot. I just don't know WHERE or for WHAT I'm supposed to go.
I'm trying to look for some kind of sign of direction.
He's very patient with me as I know HE waits on me I'm sure all the time.
ReplyDeleteBlessings, Becky.
You Go Girl!
ReplyDeleteWe're waiting for the BIG Reveal!
Just know that God is using you continually to bless and encourage many.

Becky you are so amazing and opening this up today was just what I needed! This post was beautiful in every single sense of the word "beautiful"! Your words so often speak of comfort and wisdom. I am so glad that the Lord speaks through you...I am so glad that I am listening....hugs and smiles....now I have to get off my duff...and "go"! take a leap! a deep breath and "jump" into life with NO FEAR! (yeah right...) lol but I will give it a try....
ReplyDeleteBeautiful thoughts, Becky and so true. I call it "standing by the edge of the pool" and looking at the water and just waiting for reasons I don't understand. Once I dive in I can be successful. I just took the dive on something big for me and have failed at in the past but this time is new again. Faith Precedes the Miracle.
ReplyDeleteLove you!
Bon
Hi! Becky, so happy to be back! Trying to catch up with all of you. I have a loaner computer from a sweet friend. Your post was so good, in fact my pastor spoke on this sunday, just to be obiedant when He calls. Just get up and move with Him! when He says Go! Hope you have a Blessed week, in your comings and goings! *blessings.
ReplyDeleteoh, yes it ALL spoke to me. awesome post!
ReplyDeleteThis message totally speaks to me. I'm pretty sure we are all guilty of not listening when God says GO! Especially when there is something I want really bad...but God is telling to do something else. Life is going to be difficult until I follow the plan he has for me.
ReplyDeleteAs always...this is a beautiful message Becky. I took the summer off from the blogs and was just lazy all summer. I have really missed you my friend! :)
Hi Becky,
ReplyDeleteVery will written! Your beach photo's are lovely!
Have a sweet day, Hugs~Elizabeth
What a wonderful word of encouragement! It means so much to me and very applicable to a situation in my life. Thank you dear Becky!
ReplyDeleteYes...awesome and such a timely word. We seem to get stuck and time just goes by. Maybe because I am edging on 50 I am tired of just setting still...which is my own fault...I want to hear and go...not just keep waiting, but act.
ReplyDeleteI think that holds more faith then waiting...to actual move!!!
Wow, Becky! What encouraging words. What true words about nature. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteSweet blessings,
Miriam
Hey Becky.. thanks for stopping by and leaving such a sweet comment..and you are so right, todays culture is so different than Gods Design, and I have to admit,, I am what some would call OLD SCHOOL.. but I think the culture and womans lib has played a horrible joke on us woman.. todays generation of men are doing less, and leading less, and the woman are now working harder inside and outside of the home and with that Satan can easily take our eyes off of God and get our focus on something else..
ReplyDeleteCruel Joke..
Well didnt mean to start preaching,,but it is a passion of mine..
So glad you came by..and in answer to your question to your post above,it does speak to me .. and over the past year or so I have realized just how many times I have gotten in his way, and wanting to rush to get things done my way,,but i am getting better.
I may not be where i need to be, but thank god Im not where i used to be
