Wishes and Misses

I didn’t author this, but this is my wish {prayer}for you…

A Day Just for You

A day of blessings filled to the brim,

a day of good things that come from Him.

A day of beauty, a day of grace...

a day of sunshine touching your face.

A day that keeps you in peace and rest,

a day that brings you all of God's best.

I have been feeling so very blessed, and
so thankful for the amazing love of God.

I have to tell you, though, that part of my
heart is 12 hours away and I have been really
missing these two more than I can say.

This is my Sam and her daughter Emily.
Things are moving along in their new location. I told
her I have been praying for God’s will
NOT for Becky’s will…as hard as that is sometimes.

My heart longs to have them back here, three minutes
away so we can enjoy beachin’ it together again, and
just hanging out.

Sam told me the other day that Emily was reminiscing
about being at the beach…how cute is that?

We talk often and that’s a joy for sure!

I have been hard at work on my upcoming Etsy store
and so much more.  I am so excited and so ready
for my grand opening!!  I’ll keep you posted!!!

Have I told you lately how precious each of you
are to me?  You sure know how to make my day!

Your friendships are simply the BEST gifts!

Lots of Love and Hugs!

  1. OH, Emily is an absolute sweetie!! But, I can't wrap my mind around the fact that she is Sam's little girl. Sam remains fixed in my mind as a lovely 18 year old young lady. I can hardly believe she has changed so much that I hardly recognize her...or that she is now a momma.

I can only imagine how much you miss them. Maybe this time far apart will only be for a short season. Hope so...'cause I'm a believer in families being close. When we moved away, we took our kids away from the best grandparents in the world, and it left a huge void in their lives.

    Love and hugs,

  2. You are a gift to me also Becky! Thank you for the wonderful poem. You always put a smile on my face when I come to visit you. Thanks! :)

    Love and hugs!

  3. Thank you for sharing the sweet poem....I cannot imagine having my sweet girl so far away. Thank goodness for phones!
Blessings to you as you help your daughter find her way,

  4. I love the poem you shared!! Also love the pic of your precious fam.

  5. Oh Becky how I identify with this post....I soo miss my girl too. I also pray for God's will and best for her life but I can't help but miss her. Your right too, THANK GOD for telephones...Your two are SUCH pretty girls. Have a wonderful day and I am soo looking forward to that opening. HUGS

  6. I love this poem, and although I can't *completely* identify with being so far away (yet), I sure do know how much I miss it that my daughter is not with me every day. I miss her terribly and dread when it is both of them.

Like you, I pray God's will and not mine and just know that I can trust him.

PS. How pretty is Sam? And how precious is Emily!

  7. Thank you for that sweet prayer and I wish that for you today! What a sweet picture of your daughter and granddaughter. It must be so hard to be that far away. I look forward to seeing your Etsy shop! Blessings to you today sweet sister:)

  8. What a beautiful prayer, what a beautiful family. May all those blessings you share with others be yours as well. Have a wonderful day.

  9. Hello Becky,

Thank you for the wonderful poem you have shared with us. I know how much my family means to me and I cannot imagine how I would feel if either of my boys moving away. I have a difficult enough time dealing with my parents living in Maine. But it if is God's will, then so be it.

I look forward to the opening of your etsy shop!

    ~ Tracy

  10. I love the cute photos of Sam and Emily. Sam looks like you quite a bit, Becky. Lucky girl! I feel for you regarding missing them. Definitely been there. Am still there actually. But Laura is back in the US now anyway.

I am excited to see your store...coming real soon??

    Love you sweet friend!

God bless you each and every day!

  11. Encouraging and sweet post! You, Sam and Emily all look so much alike :) Pretty girls all three!

  12. Beautiful! Thanks for those encouraging words. You are a sweetie. Your girls are lovely. I know you miss them. So hard to be far from the ones that have our heart. Hope that you have a awesome day today and I am so excited about your Etsy shop. I know it will be super!

  13. Hi Becky, thanks for stopping by The Hut and introducing yourself, it led me to your lovely blog. Sorry you missed Sheila's party, but I'm sure we'll be meeting sometime in the future for sure.

I read back about your trip to the Springs, how inviting that water looked! I agree with you about Jekyll Island, that was one of the first places I went after I moved here recently and it is now one of my favorite places!

  14. Oh Becky,
You are such an encouragement to me!!! I truly appreciate you and your joyful spirit!! Have a wonderful day!! (I can't wait to see your etsy shop!)

  15. Lovely, Becky... You are a gift too!!!

  16. Oh, how I know about the MISSING!
I actually ache to be near my kids and grands.
A worthwhile sacrifice unto the LORD.
Sending blessings and ((HUGS)) your way.
    Love you lots,

  17. Hi Becky,
Wonderful poem! I am so sorry you are missing your girls, that can be so hard. Wishing you a wonderful Wednesday!

  18. You are in my thoughts often. We have a Magnificent and loving God. How blessed we are.

  19. A mountain good morning to you dear Becky. Thank you for the beautiful poem and photo. Those beach filled days will forever be in my heart.

Your daughter is beautiful. She sure looks like her mom. Your granddaughter is darling. I can well imagine how much you miss them.

I am soooo happy our daughter is able to spend this time with us. Even though she is recovering from surgery. Bill's sister and husband is here too. No wonder I am behind in my visiting. smile.

Have a wonderful day. I hope you are feeling well. Prayers are daily for you dear Becky.
    Love, Jeanne

  20. I stumbled upon your blog tonight or perhaps the Lord directed me here in a round-about way. I love the beauty of it and I've really been inspired!

  21. Hi Becky! It is so nice to meet you. Thank you for stopping by my blog today and for becoming a follower.

Oh my goodness, how your daughter and granddaughter look like YOU!! I understand fully the yearning for them to be living closer again. Our oldest daughter, husband and our only 2 grandchildren live 9 hrs away from us and we miss them so much. Thank goodness for Skype cameras and telephones!!

Hey goodluck on opening your new Etsy Shop! I just opened mine the end of May so I am really new at it too.

Thank you so much for taking the time to share some JOY!
You're a blessing to me!
