YAY!!! Puter is Up/A Blank Canvas!

Top of the morning to you Sweeties!  Wow!  Can’t believe this puter is working again!  It’s only been about 12 days, but it seems like forever!

I am running hard to catch up around here!  Was down with some sinus issues, and finally got my Christmas decor  from the attic, and got the tree this weekend and…and…and…

LET THE DECORATING BEGIN!!! WOOHOO!!!

Don’t you just love foofing up your home for the holiday season?  Well, I do, although I am simplifying the process each year.

I find blank canvases very inspirational, and here is our LOVELY tree that we will be decking out today!!

Mmmm!!  Can’t you just smell the piney goodness of it all???  It is an 8 1/2 ft. tall Frasier Fir, and it does smell wonderful!!  Hubster always wants something underneath the tree, hence the sheet.  The tree skirt will go on top of it.

We can’t wait to decorate it!  Might do something different this year!!  Update to come!!

And who do we have here??  Oh Critta!!  Don’t get any funny ideas about that tree!!

You talking to sweet little innocent ol’ me?  How could you even think such a thing??

IMG_1214

This handsome guy just LOVES to paw at the tree skirt until he uncovers enough of the base to sit and get a few refreshing laps of tree water!!  I am CONSTANTLY adding water, because as soon as it is inside, it becomes his personal water bowl!  Isn’t that a hoot??  Anyone else’s cat do this?

And here are some components I am using to make a wreath for my buddy, Jess.  I absolutely LOVE making wreaths, and I think I am going to redo mine in the next day or so too!  I’ll show you the end result after she sees it!

I sure hope you all have a delightful week, full of the JOY of the Lord and shared joy with family and friends!  We all need to count our blessings each day, and not get caught up in all of the busy-ness, ya know???

Love and hugs!
Becky

  3. Your tree is just beautiful! I love a big full tree. So happy to hear your puter is working again too. It can be so frustrating when the puter & the camera goes down.

    Have fun decorating!

  4. I so look forward to seeing the finished products of decoration.

Your cat had me cracking up as I read your words because your cat surely looks like, "Hmmm I think I'll have at that tree!".

    Love you Sister!

  6. Hi Becky,
I can't wait to see your tree all decorated. I do miss the scents of a fresh, live Christmas tree. We have the artificial trees because we travel to see family at Christmas. It's just safer for us. Your cat is a hoot! Be sure to share photos of your wreaths with us.

  11. Yay, your computer is working well:) Your tree is beautiful, very full and fresh! I know you will do a beautiful job and I can't wait to see it when you are fininshed. No, we didn't have a cat that did that, but we had to watch one cat we had when I was a kid because he wanted to eat the silver string tinsle we had on the tree! Yes, Mary loved watching our elf video dance. She wanted to it watch over and over and laughed every time. So cute how simple things amuse them for a long time:) Take care dear friend and happy decorating! Elena

  13. Welcome back! I know you are happy to be off that Mac! I know what you mean though it is hard to get use to one or the other if you aren't on one often. I love my Mac and feel like I am on an old clunky typewriter when I get on Jim's PC or laptop. The laptop is the worst I hate that little thingy they try to pass off as the mouse. Crazy making!

Anyway I am sure your tree will be gorgeous and that cat of yours is a funny one. They do get their little quirky habits, don't they? And it is like they never forget them either!

Love you, Beck! Leaving for your favorite place in five days! I promise you I will be thinking of you while there!

I will be back I'm sure but just in case things get really hectic, have a wonderful and beautiful Christmas!

  17. Hi Beck ~

  18. The expression on the cats face is PRICELESS!
I am really anxious to put up the tree but I am holding off for two reasons.
One...we have a new cat in the house and two I have a precious... VERY ACTIVE 17 month old in the house. She is my great niece "Gianna"...my niece "Misty" teaches kindergarten and I keep the baby for her. I am enjoying that baby so much! But she is quite busy and into a lot...so I thought I would wait until the week school lets out to put up the tree. Gianna will get to see it..but it won't be as much work trying to keep it standing up. lol
