It did happen, right??? You know…Thanksgiving and Christmas? I blinked and it just raced right by!
Oh yes…I savored what I could, and it was delightful, but if I didn’t know any better I’d say God was speedin’ up the days already!! Do you know what I mean?
As they (not sure who) say: onward and upward!!
SO whatcha up to, gals? I sure hope your Christmas was a joyful delight for you! Mine was even tho’ it seem to happen at lightening speed!
Are you resting with your feet up?
Dealing with some of this?
And needing some of this?
It may not be that cold here, but it’s colder than we’re used to in these parts, and I am enjoying my fair share of warm chocolately cocoa and wonderful Gevalia coffee, that’s for SURE!!
I have had a couple days of rest and relaxation, and am really beginning to look forward to what this coming new year holds!
Don’t you love the idea of a fresh clean start? New goals?
Just the wonderful promise of it all?
I sure do!
And I can’t wait to share it all with you girls!! You are the BEST!!
Have I told you that lately??!!
You make me laugh, cry, inspire me, encourage me, teach me, and fill up my cup to overflowing with your kindness, thoughtfulness and prayers!! WOW!! What a HUGE blessing you are!!
Who wouldn’t want to spend their new year with you??!!
I want each of you to know that you have added sunshine to my days all through 2009, and that I am committed to praying for each of you throughout 2010!
Now that is a privilege, indeed!
Hope you all have a great week!
Love and BIG SQUISHY HUGS,
BECKY
Hugs right back to you Becky. I always get excited when I see you have a new post up.
ReplyDeleteI haven't been up to much...I caught a horrible cold last week and girl I haven't been that sick in a long time. I am feeling a little better but it will probably be awhile before I am 100%.
We had a great Christmas...all the family together!
Here comes the New Year...I wonder what it will bring?
Hi Becky, I just finished a post draft and thought I'd take a look at my Google reader to see what is new. This post (the end part) is so similar to my draft. I won't be posting it until Tuesday evening, but I thought it sweet as to how we must be thinking so alike.
ReplyDeleteThis afternoon and evening is the first I have had any down time. Our NY kids are out visiting friends so no little folks about the house right now.
Nice stopping by to visit with you!
Kindly, ldh
hey Becky! well, I guess you might say.. I am behind... we havent had our family Christmas yet. Our precious Amanda and Joshua come to us tomorrow night and will stay til Saturday! I think we are celebrating Christmas on Wednesday.. I mean we need some let's get excited about Christmas time, ya know what I mean! Then the new year brings with it a whole slew of resolutions that I'll think about a little later! Bah!! But do have a marvelous new year and enjoy the Lord's blessings!!!!!
ReplyDeleteHi Beck ~
ReplyDeleteI want one of those snowman cookies!!!
Yes, the season flew by in a blur!
ALL the preparation and expense and now it is over. But we CAN keep the Christmas spirit in our hearts and lives if we maintain our focus on JESUS. That may be my prime New Year's resolution. Amen.
Blessings to you and yours as this new year begins! Much Love ~
Hi Becky, Yes, I am with you...did it happen? haha So fast anymore I am not really sure. I wish I had felt a little better when we were all together, but all in all it was good. Sounds like it went well for you too. And yes, I too am looking forward to the new year and what all it might bring. This last year was soo full and soo blessed. Take care my friend, and ENJOY the rest of this holiday season.
ReplyDeleteHugs to you,
Debbie
I'm on an official blog break, but I decided to check in tonight! Glad I did, Becky, and I'm sending hugs back to you. Am totally exhausted and am going to try to rest.
ReplyDeleteXO,
Sheila :-)
Becky~Yes it seems like yesterday I was packing up Christmas last year. Time flies that is for sure.
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet post. What a blessing to have like minded friends through our blogs. I share your heart and thoughts. It really has been such a blessing to meet all my blog friends.
Happy New Year~
Oh girl...you make me smile! It is 39 degrees at the moment here in Miss. So, alot of coffee, hot tea, and hot cocoa is in order here! I'm thinking how good homemade chili or taco soup would be too! yum. Christmas did seem to pass by quickly, but I did my best to enjoy and savor every single moment. My Cale will celebrate his 17th birthday Tuesday, so tomorrow, I will do some preparation for his big day! He wants Dirt cake instead of birthday cake. And then, Thursday, we hope to go to Oxford (home of OLE MISS Rebels) and pick up our sweet Remington, Cale's new border collie! We are sooo excited!
ReplyDeleteI look forward to visiting your blog every day...I would miss you terribly if you didn't blog, so keep up the good work...you inspire me, and as I said before, make me smile! One of these days, I'm gonna pack my family up and we are going to visit Florida and look you up! Hope you have a delightful-happy week. Enjoy the last few days of 2009!
Love and BIG SQUISHY HUGS RIGHT BACK AT YA!
LIESA
Hi Becky~ I feel like I just came out of a wonderful dream- of having all of us together at home- the grandkids- making pancakes for Sam (his fave breakfast:)- holding little Eli and seeing his new little one-month-old's smiles...Sophie, Ben and Lisa here from Pittsburgh... waking up with all but one of the families here each morning...
ReplyDeleteMy heart is full and my body is tired, but what joy this Grammy feels. The fridge is still pretty full, so no pressure to cook yet:) Did take a great nap this afternoon!
That about it in a nutshell:)
Hugs,
Linda
Oh- PS - they all left today- hence the nap:) Will possibly see Ben and family later in the week, with others popping in also;)
ReplyDeleteHi Becky, thanks so much for stopping by and introducing yourself. You have a wonderful blog. What are the noses made out of in those doughnut snowmen? They look like carrots, but I figure they must be some kind of candy. They're adorable.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Marcia
May you and your family have a joyful and blessed 2010!

ReplyDeleteYes, to getting together in March. I will drive to Florida to join in the fun. We do need to plan ahead. Claudie will be in Fl. around the last two weeks in March. Lets start planning it now. Central Florida is compatible to many. I have children who live here. I love the idea.

You are such a blessing dear sweet Becky!! I love your posts and I look forward to the New Year. I know what you mean that you just blink and the holidays are past!
