My Simple Woman’s Daybook

I love reading my friend’s daybooks, so I decided to join in and hopefully you’ll enjoy reading mine!!

For Today… Monday October 19, 2009

Outside my window... It is a beautiful blue sky autumn day in Florida!  A lovely mild 65 degrees!

I am thinking... This is the day that the Lord has made. I will rejoice and be glad in it!!

I am thankful for... My hubby’s Dr. appt. was trouble free!

I am wearing... Blue jeans, white sweatshirt and my Crocs!

I am remembering... That perfection isn’t the necessary end to everything!

I am creating… A couple of handmade thank you cards.

I am going... To buy some groceries.

I am reading...Following God With All of Your Heart by Elizabeth George {because Liesa said it was so good and it is!} Thanks, Liesa!!

I am hoping... To get the valances for my family room sewn and hung!!

On my mind... My lovely friend Lady Katherine and her surgery on Wednesday.

Noticing that... The doggies in our lives are shedding quite a bit!!!

Pondering these words...

Success is living in such a way that you are using what God has given you--your intellect, abilities, and energy---to reach the purpose that He intends for your life.  **Elizabeth George

From the kitchen…
Homemade Creamy Squash Soup (didn’t get it done yesterday!) with crusty bread!  YUM!!!

Around the house... The wonderful aroma of my pumpkin cookie candle, cool breeze coming in the windows, and a full heart thankful for a lovely weekend.

One of my favorite things… Looking at other people’s outdoor fall decorations.

A few plans for the rest of the week…  schooling, sewing, potting some herbs

A picture thought I’m sharing…

Praying that your week is full of God’s best!!
Love ‘n hugs,

  3. Becky, this is just wonderful. I love doing my daybook. It helps me focus on the things at hand and I love reading other people's as well. I'm a still in Utah and haven't had time to read any blogs lately. Just barely time to post on my blog for Jim to be caught up a little on what I have been doing.

It sounds like you have some good plans for the week and I am glad Randy had a good Dr. Appt. My Jen is struggling in pretty much every way right now. I am just trying to help her get her head above water again. I am supposed to leave tomorrow but I am not sure that is happening yet.

You are such a ray of sunshine in my life Becky...keep that light shining!

    Love you,

    Bonnie

  5. Becky,

I LOVE these women daybook posts. Yours was REALLY good. I especially liked the thing you are remembering.. that perfection is not the necessary end to everything..I have soo much to do today (and with hurting knees it is soo hard) that this is a great thought to carry me through..so thanks for sharing that. I am having a hard time deciding which blog post gathering I want to participate in anymore, as they are all soo good. I chose another one this morning which I just discovered which is also great. I imagine eventually I am going to have to let some go that I want to do as it is certainly adding to my business, haha, but it is hard. Have a good day. Blessings to you, Debbie

  12. That's a nice journal entry. Get to see what's on someone's noodle. Cute idea. Now what time is that creamy soup and crusty bread being served so I can catch a flight out of Kansas to Florida?
