the covers back over your head because of all the JUNK
It seems that we can't even log onto the computer
without having some kind of sordid news hit us in
the face. With all of the JUNK that characterizes
life on this planet these days, let alone all the trials
of our daily lives, it might seem as if the evil is beginning
to triumph, and we feel defeated and just
hand over our joy.
hand over our joy.
Well, my sweet friends, let me assure you that the
evil will NEVER be triumphant, because God has
already won the victory!!
already won the victory!!
HALLELUJAH!!!!

When His only son Jesus died on the cross for the sins of
mankind, the VICTORY was won!!! Those who are in Him
mankind, the VICTORY was won!!! Those who are in Him
should be able to hold fast to His promises and to the JOY
that comes from knowing the truth!
***
When confronted with the ills of this world, we must
look to Him and to His Word to renew our hope and
restore our joy, and then go share it with someone who
needs some help!!

These things I have spoken to you, that in
Me you may have peace. In the world you will
have tribulation; but be of good cheer,
I have overcome the world. John 16:33

have tribulation; but be of good cheer,
I have overcome the world. John 16:33

Praying that you all will be so filled with the joy of the
Lord that it will just spill out to everyone around you!!

Have a victorious week!!
Love you,
Becky

ReplyDeleteBecky, thank you for your great inspiration. It is true that the world can get us down these days. I often wonder how people that don't have the gospel in their lives manage at all. Having hope in Christ makes all the difference in how we view everything.
ReplyDeleteI love seeing your best friend and love of your life on your sidebar. You look very happy together.
Have a wonderful, peaceful new week!
Love, Bonnie
Your new look on your blog is great! Love the pic of you and your hubby! I think I am going to reveal myself on my blog. The reason being, I heard a sermon the other day about visualizing someone or something that you are praying for so that it will be more effective. That someone or something when appear in your mind throughout the day better and you can remember to pray for them. Isn't that cool.
ReplyDeleteI so appreciate when people are praying for me and my family. So if it takes posting my pic then I am going to go for it. What you think?
Thanks so much for that inspiring post. You are such an encourager. THAT IS YOUR FRAGRANCE to me!

What a great scripture. We can never read enough good scripture!
ReplyDeleteGod amazes me every day with how true his word is and I'm so thankful that we don't have to let the evils of this world consume our thoughts when we focus on His word!
Thanks, Becky!
Oh, Becky, what would we do without our loving Master, Teacher, Helper, Friend! I truly do not know how those who do not know Him ever can con- tend with the ills of this world! But greater is He that anything we can ever face! Praise the Lord! And thank you for this wonderful reminder. And thank you for your sweet visit earlier and very kind remarks! Your comments blessed me so much!!!

ReplyDeleteJust found your blog. What a beautiful place you have here.
ReplyDeleteAmen Sister!!
ReplyDeleteThere is so much going on around us that is crazy and evil so I keep my mind refreshed in Psalm 121. The Lord is where my eyes go toward so that I don't get overwhelmed in the rest.
My joy and peace is in knowing intimately the giver of Joy and Peace -- JESUS!
I love and appreciate you and your heart of care.
Hi Becky,
ReplyDeleteI was just talking about all the JUNK going on. My answer is to turn off the tv, put on some music, pour a drink, and sit out on the back porch and enjoy all the goodness here at Acorn Cottage. I watch the birds, rabbits, and squirrels running around and all is right in the world.
Mr. Puffalump is the cutest thing ever. Are you sure we can't make an arranged marriage between him and Trixie?
Love, Hugs and Sunshine!
