WHAT Am I Thinking????

You know me…you know that I LOVE the summer and the beach and even the hot temperatures, so I ask…

What on earth am I thinking?

I am thinking that…

There are only 48 days til

the first day of
FALL!!!

What???  Where did that come from?

Did you say that?  I know I couldn’t have!

I don’t know, but since I am being tortured by this question, I thought it only fitting that I might torture some of you as well!  Isn’t that what friends are for?

Hope you can stand it!!  Let’s hold hands and jump in together, ok?

Oh the YUMMY goodness of it all!!

I can just feel it in the air this year.  I don’t know why, but I am already
noticing the changes in the sun’s position.  Maybe it is just my hope that hurricane season will come and go quickly without any consequence!

I don’t know…

Anyway…LET THE COUNTDOWN BEGIN!!

Oh and HAPPEE FRIDAY ya’ll!!

Toasty Hugs,
Becky

  4. Hi Becky!! Oh, I could jump into fall with all four feet! We've had the hottest summer and it's still hot!
Thanks for cooling me down a bit.

  5. Okay Ladies..
let's don't get the cart before the horse..
as much as I love colorful fall..
    the beautiful clothes..
I do NOT relish the idea of SNOW..which usually arrives before I can get the leaves off the lawn..
that also signals time to close the windows.
no more fresh mountain air wafting in at nite..
    ah such peaceful, restful sleep..
    turn on the furnace..
    and the humiditifier..
    pile on the electric blanket..
    switch to flannel PJ's.
and even tho the holidays will come rushing at us with a vengence from every direction..
meaning crowds, icy, snowy streets and parking lots..
    nope..
I am not ready to let go just yet of the delights of my Colorado summer..
I waited all year and am gonna hang on as long as possible..
(remember.. I had SNOW on May 1!!)
    warm sandy hugs..
    Loui♥
ps.. January will find me on the beach again in Florida!!

  6. Ahhhh...Fall. Around here the grapevines will change to their pretty colors. You know..the other day I noticed a plant at work that was already changing....that surprised me. But with the cooler than usual summer here...the plants could very well be fooled by Mother Nature around here. :-)I heard you had gotten together with Mrs. Magpie....recognized you in a picture on her blog when I was checking out what Stella did over there. What a time Stella must have had. Did you know I was the one who made her cute little bag when she was with me?

    Take care Becky!

  7. Oh- I hold on to Summer with both arms tightly, dear friend.:) I love Fall- and I know that you LOOOOOOVVEE Fall- but I'm standing back on this one!:)
Up here, we know what comes next after fall and it's not always so fun:) Love the fall weather though!
Up here today and tomorrow is beautiful--80 degrees and low humidity- then 90 on Monday. I feel for the ones around the country suffering in the hot hot weather.

    Beautiful pictures though!

    Have a great weekend Sweety!

    Hugs,
    Linda

  8. I know there are those who are ready for the summer to move on but since we have barely seen summer here I'm not quite ready yet!! The kids have only played in our pool a handful of times and that's mostly a quick dip and then standing in the feeble sunshine!! I know know I'll love fall when it arrives but I am enjoying every misty drop of summer we have here :0)!! I do love those Fall pictures though - I'm thinking I want a pair of wellies this Fall to wear to my chicken coop!!!

And yes I hope hurricane season goes away with very little fuss - my sis is in New Orleans expecting her first baby in Oct. and her hubby is a Coast Guard commander who is in charge of hurricane management stuff thus not allowed to evac if one comes!! Sis would have to leave alone - not a thing we want to happen!!! NO Huuricanes!!

    Hope your weekend is wonderful!!
    Hugs,
    Christine

  9. So Best Friend, I don't know whether to laugh or hit you-what are you thinking my friend?! I absolutely love fall but am nowhere near ready for it; having said that we are seeing signs of an early fall as well. It means more quilting time for me but really, did you have to share! LOL-just kidding. Love you lots.

  16. Ok...OK... your pictures are helping my attitude a bit. I get weepy and cranky when I think of fall because of my mellow drama with the empty nest.

But the pictures are helping... I'm starting to feel the fall groove... It's my favorite season.

  17. Hi Becky! I am back again. Just wanted to let you know that I have done some recent posts on my craft blog. Don't know if you have visited that one yet or recently or whatever. Did a post about the redo I am working on in my sewing room? Interestingly the color is called Summer Yellow...so maybe it will always be summer in there. LOL!

  18. Hi Becky! Fall is very beautiful but why oh why does summer go by so quickly? My kids are ready to go back to school...but I'm not ready for them to go yet.
I'm sure when I feel that first cool breeze of fall I'll be thrilled. :)

  20. After living in a winter climate for the past several years, I have come to dread fall (as you already know) because winter will soon follow. In fact, fall is usually very short-lived, and spring arrives in May, so it seems like winter ends up being about 7 months long.

The ONLY thing I like about fall is the start of college football season. Now that's something I'm excited to start the countdown for.

    Have a fabulous weekend.

    Hugs,
    Patti
