Happy Thursday to all my girlies out there!
And it is a day to be happy for sure!
I got my MRI results, and the preliminary report
is that the symptoms I have been experiencing are
a result of bone spurs in my cervical spine, along with
a few tears there as well. I have a slight curvature of
my spine that I have had since puberty, and one hip higher than
the other, which combined with age, have contributed
to uneven wear and pressure in my upper spine.
Normally I wouldn't be thrilled to find out that
I have a problem in my back, especially one that
will probably continue to get worse as I age, but I'll
sure take that over the brain issue anytime!
I won't be meeting with my neurologist until July.
I have decided to not have the lumbar puncture unless
she can make a strong case for further investigation
based on these results and my blood work.
The peace that God has given me has been amazing,
and so has the wonderful, loving support from each of you!
Please continue to pray that this is the sole cause of my symptoms.
I have a moderate case of cervical splondylosis which explains
all of the tingling sensations I have experienced.
Thank you so very much for your prayers and love!
God sees and knows, and will bless you accordingly!
He sure has blessed me with YOU!!
Thank you for investing in me! What a delight to my soul
to be on the receiving end of so much love and prayer,
especially from so many of you I haven't even met in person!
What an incredible God to reach
through space and time
and gift me with you!!
I'll let you know if there are any further developments, but
all of the tingling sensations I have experienced.
I'll let you know if there are any further developments, but
honestly, I don't think there will be!
I sing because I'm happy
I sing because I'm free
His eye is on the sparrow
and I know He watches me!!!
OH HAPPY DAY!!
Love you!!
Becky
Hallelujah PRAISE THE LAMB! I'm over the moon happy for you my friend. God's blessings have been upon you and I'm thrilled with your "good news".
ReplyDeleteLove to you~Rebecca
Praise God! This is such good news!
ReplyDeleteBecky, it's called Scoliosis. You didn't know that I have a severe case of this did you? Yup I do. My friends noticed it when I hit puberty also. I've been monitored for over 40 years. I have two curves actually. My spine looks like an ugly snake. My leg is now 2 inches longer. I only wish both legs were 2 inches longer lol See we have something else in common lol
ReplyDeleteYou'll be fine. My problem now is doing too much gardening or vacuuming. Great excuse not to do those shores. I also shrunk one whole inch. I was 5'4" now a little 5'3" . They wanted to put me in a body cast when I was 17, full body cast then. Not a chance. Now they have wonderful clinics that deal with just that. Texas has a great one I'm told. They only do scoliosis cases. Google it, you'll find so much info. on it all. Actually I'm sure you did already, you smart lady.
So glad for you... well kind of... also it's hereditary. My grandma and mom have it. My sister has it too. Check your girls all the time. Brittany has a minor one.
xoxoxoxo
Dear Becky, Praising the Lord with you today and for you! How great is His love for us-do you know I have a slight S curve on my lower spine and also my hips are uneven thus one leg shorter by about an inch...so if I ever have similar symptoms I'll know what it is.
ReplyDeleteHugs to you today my friend....with love and praise.

Praise God, He Is So Good!
ReplyDeleteI'm very happy that the results weren't more dire.
Sorry to hear about the scoliosis (that runs in my family too, both my Grandmothers, and two of my Aunts were hunchback, and another Aunt had the S curve), that's not fun either, but I'm glad to hear that it's not worse news. And I agree with you about the lumbar puncture.
I love the peace that God Bestowed on you throughout this, I think about it all the time.
His Love Is Amazing!
Have a wonderful weekend and enjoy a very Happy Mother's Day!
Love to you,
Eileen
Well a big ole HALLELUJAH!!!!! I'm so thankful that it's not a brain thing too. This is bad enough, but I know you are so relieved!
ReplyDeleteGod is so good. You light up my life.
Love,
Liesa
~Happy Dance~ That's awesome...I didn't hear back from you about today, so I wasn't so sure.
ReplyDeleteI would hold off on any new tests as well.
My Sissy has curve in her spine...yes, she's 14! I guess I'll be google'n it Claudie! I don't, but have shrunk an inch as well. I'm only 5' 2" now...bless my heart ; )
Praise the Lord!! I am right there with you girlie when it comes to back problems...I have scoliosis in my lower spine and disc problems as well. I thank the Lord for all the days that are without pain cause I know it could be a lot worse.

Oh Becky! This is such good news. Our prayers have been answered...not surprisingly. I was just corresponding with Spencer at Bellamere Cottage and she and I have both woken up at night to pray for you. You have touched us all deeply. We love you, Becky. Even my husband, Jim, has been praying for you in our prayers together. What a wonderful day!

What wonderful news Becky - I know bone spurs are no picnic (I had one in my neck that caused problems for years - but at least it's not a worst diagnosis. I love your photo of the beach with the happy face. That is so cute. We all have "happy faces" now.
ReplyDeletePraise to the Lord and Hallelujah!!!! We are so thankful and happy for this "blessing"...We'll continue to pray for you with regard to the back thing but what a relief!!!
ReplyDeleteThat's fabulous news Becky! I'm so thankful. I agree that while no picnic, back problems seem as nothing when compared to what you thought you would be facing.

Hi Becky, I do pray that you are right my sweet friend. Your report, although not the best thing, is far better than a brain problem. I hope they can control your pain. Knowing is worth everything. The unknown is so scary. I am still keeping you in my prayers my dear friend.
ReplyDeleteI am sorry I have not been visiting Becky. I was out of town twice this month and since I came home all kinds of things have needed my attention. I just haven't been on the computer much at all this week. Things have slowed down a bit now. Thank the good Lord. smile.
Gotta fix Bill's dinner so I better say goodbye for now.
Love and hugs with wishes for many blessings to you and yours,
Jeanne
