JOY For Our Journey~~Be a JOY!

Happee Monday to all of you sweet gals out there!!

Hope your weekend was wonderful!  Ours was!  We went to north Florida to the hunting camp to help with needed repairs and get our site ready!  More about that in a day or so!  You can visit my daughter Madison’s blog for her thoughts on the weekend!

This is a lovely picture thought I had to share with you!  Can’t you just envision yourself there with a favorite book, picnic lunch, and a canoe?  I sure can!!

Today’s Joy For Our Journey message is short and sweet, but very close to the heart of Christ!

It is simply this…BE A JOY!!

That’s it!  BE A JOY!!

Today…yes, this very day, there is someone who needs to see your smile, hear your reassuring words, know that you care enough to listen or lend a hand, feel the warmth of your touch, hear you say “I love you”, or “You did a great job”.

You have the power to make a difference in someone’s life today!   Whose will it be?  Have you thought of someone already?  Maybe it’s someone right in your own home, or at the local store, and where you work, or a neighbor…ask God to show you who needs you today!

And then…do it again tomorrow!

We can change the world!!  One smile, one kind deed, thoughtful word or gesture at a time!!

What God says about it:

But as for you, brethren, do not grow weary in doing good.
2Thessalonians 3:13

For we are to God the fragrance of Christ among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing.
2 Corinthians 2:15

Have a fantastic week and look for ways to BE A JOY!!!

Hugs n love,
Becky

  2. Just lovely Becky! Today's message is so true. Even my Dad said "Smile, people will wonder what you are up too!" I prefer to go around with a smile on my face. Who wants to be a grump all the time? That doesn't seem like fun to me.

Glad to see you had a great weekend over at Maddy's blog. I'm waiting for more.

Have a great day dear! Keep that smile on!
    Hugs!

  5. becky - i will try to keep this in mind all week - be a joy to those around me :) love you!

    OK, 2 questions:

    1. why didn't i know you homeschooled your daughter? :O) we are in our 11th year homeschooling and love it! it's a bit of challenge now that kali's older. she's working almost full time, and with all our speech and debate stuff it's hard to fit it all in. i have to be very creative.

    2. and why didn't i know you guys are in a hunting camp up here? :O) where is it? mark has 2 camps at Cross Creek, if you know where that is. is yours anywhere near us? the gainesville, palatka, ocala area?

see. i learned some new things about you today :O)

and, i went to your daughter's blog. it's very fun :). i like her easy way of talking and her photos are neat!

kali and i are headed to alabama tomorrow for a speech and debate training week. have a great week yourself! love you!

What a well spoken word for us today. We do need to be a blessing and Joy to someone everyday, and then we are blessed and joyful
in return! God's plan is so amazing isn't it.
We don't bless to get a blessing, but we do!!
Just amazing! It is so wonderful to think God
used us, lil o me, to bless someone!
    What a plan!
Hope you have a great day, you are a blessing to some many with the sweet and special heart you have!!

  12. Dear Becky, Thank you so much for the encouragement. One of Rich's coworkers dropped by and gave us some fresh salmon that he had caught. He is not a believer. I got to share with him the goodness of the Lord in our lives and what the Lord has done for us. He was very receptive and I pray I was able to share the joy of the Lord with him and he will accept the Lord and his savior. Have a blessed day! Elena

  16. This reminds me of a phrase I saw on someone's blog. Maybe it was yours. "May I be an answer to someone's prayer." I try to remember that one now. Love your new Fall header! It is so pretty and so is the picture you shared. Just lovely. I could relax there too. Thank you for your well wishes for our anniversary! How cool that we got married the same year. Thank you so much for your fun visit! Lovely to hear from you. I need to catch up on your posts.
