I hope you are all having a very enjoyable Labor Day Weekend so far!! We sure are! Last night we had our oldest daughter and her
family over for dinner, and this morning I made an absolutely HUGE
breakfast for #2 daughter, her boyfriend, and my Brittany’s best
friend, Brittany. It was all just delightful, especially the great company!
Then after all the visiting and eating, me and my hubby actually had
the afternoon to ourselves! Alone in the house….that doesn’t happen very often!! Needless to say, it was wonderful!
I know the days will come when we are almost always alone in our home, but for now we take great delight in seizing the moment and
really savoring it!
OK…you’ve been very patient with me, and I so appreciate it! We have had some pressing things to deal with lately, and everything has just taken a back seat.
IF you remember, I had two of these on my front doors and they needed a FALL FACELIFT!!
Well, here it is with it’s new fall look! I did as several of you
suggested and left the yellow thingies a bit longer, didn’t add
any red, and did add a bow! What do ya think? I love them!
When I get the whole entryway all FALLED-UP
and trim the hedges and stuff, I’ll show you a fuller view, OK?
Here the twins are!! The way these things hang it is tough to get a full front picture this close, so they don’t look like they match as well
as they do. BUT, you’ll see they do when I get the whole front all dressed up in it’s fall attire! Thanks for your great advice!!
Praying that you all have a joyful Sunday and a wonderful Labor Day…it’s the beginning of our long wave goodbye to summer down here!!
Thanks for all of your friendships, love, prayers and encouragement!
I have the best bloggy buddies in blogland!!
Love and hugs,
Becky
Hi Beck,
ReplyDeleteHave been concerned & praying for you, hope things are going okay hon!! Your fall arrangements look dyno-mite. Very pretty, course, I thought they look beautiful before too. Course, I know you, like me have Fall Fever, so course,

Jim did some more tiling last night and today.
He finished the edging on the floor, and did the back facures(can not remember how to spell that)of the steps, so just need to do the steps and the bottom of the tub area and put in the towel rack and the soap dish. And that will be glory........Glory to me!! lol
We spent a lot of time today preparing for our
first class tomorrow, Dee ran by tonight for
a lil while, and I have been to the store and am ready for the kids and their prospective dates to come for dinner on labor day!
Plus I am just about finished Fallizing the
house!! One more finishing touch, and just a
couple of things to put away, and I am done,
done, done, and just enjoying it!! yea!

Hi, Tree Buddy! I missed swinging in our Tree! lol I love the flowers on your door! Wish I had two of something for mine! Only wreaths, but not wanting to use them. lol I have only one of others. Yours are so different than any I have seen and I do love them! I been putting in a Library in the parlor, it taking a long time! I got the mantle stained and ready to add books, still need some trim and a shelf on top of my mantle. Got to grab hubby as he comes in and out, to help! with the shelf and trim! lol

Hello Becky, Your header looks great and your fall arrangements on your doors are so pretty and festive. I like the ribbon, a perfect touch.
ReplyDeleteHappy Labor Day weekend.
Hugs...Jeanne, I also commented on PS.
Beck, I love the floral arrangements. I adore them in fact, as they are in all my favorite colors. I have been stuck on the fall colors for the last few years but I really love most colors..I just go through phases. I have been on the yellowish orange for a long time. I call it pumpkin but it is not that bright orange but the browner, more yellow orange. Almost like a copper color. LOVE it! It is the orange that goes with freckles! (I do have more than a few of them!)
ReplyDeleteYou are very talented in your decorating~great job!
Oh, and the header.....yum!
ReplyDeleteThose are gorgeous! You did a great job and they welcome fall so well! I need to get around to some fall decorating here! I can't wait to see all the other decorations you are going to put up! Hugs, Elena
ReplyDeleteYour arrangements are just beautiful. I'm definitely getting the fall fever myself!
