Can You Stand It???

Well Sweeties, my little feathered friend showed herself yesterday!!
I couldn't snap a pic, but found this one online...
She is a Carolina Wren!!!
AND...absolutely adorable!!

CAN YOU STAND IT??!!!
How cute is she??
She has added so much joy to my days!!
Truly one of God's little blessings!!
I talk to her each time I come into the door!!
In another week or so...we will hear tiny little birdies
CHIRPING!!!
So, I ask again...
CAN YOU STAND IT!!??
Our oldest daughter (28 yo) decided to name her. Her name is...
Wendy Wren!!!
LOVE IT!!!
Carolina Wrens will make their nests just about anywhere,
and have no problem being in close proximity to humans!
The male and female are together for life, and
the male feeds the female while she's nesting!!
AAwww!! How sweet!!
A lovely picture of God's perfect provision for all of
His creation!!
Thank you all for sharing my joy in this new
little front door occupant!!
I'll be keeping you posted!!!
Take JOY in today!!!
Hugs, Becky
PS: MR. LINKY WILL BE UP TONIGHT FOR
WE DID IT! WEDNESDAY!!
HOPE YOU'LL JOIN THE FUN!!

  1. Hi Becky-I absolutely love wrens--they are one of my favorite birds, so perky and they sing so beautifully. Each spring we have some wrens who try to make a nest in our garage.

  2. Aww, wrens are so sweet. We have house wrens in our area and they sing such sweet songs. I love to watch them at the feeders.

Four years ago, we had a pair who nested in one of my hanging baskets and it was so fun to watch them☺

  6. How sweet is that little bird!!! Very cute. I loved your post yesterday with the song. That was one of my favorites growing up! I can still hear us all singing it! Thanks for sharing it!!! I'll put a post together for tomorrow and let you know when I have it up!!!

  7. That little wren is just so adorable, Becky! All God's creatures are fascinating, aren't they? Unfortunately, I have too many kitty cats at my house to encourage birds to nest nearby. My Max Cat would think,"How nice of her to set up a feeder for me so close to the house"! Oh well, I guess I'll have to wait for the "Peaceable Kingdom" to observe both birds and cats in close proximity. But thank you, Becky, for giving us a window into the precious little world of the wren! God bless!

  8. Pretty bird! It is so sweet that they mate for life. I have Mr. and Mrs. Mourning Dove that visit my feeder (and eat what has fallen on the deck:) They are a lifelong couple too. I love it!

I think you would enjoy Birds and Blooms magazine- I have learned a lot from it about the birds that live around our back yard. And the photography in it is beautiful!

Can't wait til you hear little peeps:)

    Hugs,
    Linda
