Here is a picture of the little nest I took while standing on a chair
The sad truth is that we haven't seen our little birdy for a couple of days, so we don't know if she's coming back or not. MEH!!
My joy at the prospect of the little birdy residing on my front door was snuffed out, and along with the other emotions the day held for me, to be honest...I was struggling.
I told my hubby I was going out to Michael's to get some card making stuff, and to have some time alone. I got some cool stuff, and on my way back into the neighborhood, I stopped at my mailbox. I didn't have my key with me yesterday, so there were a few days of mail in it.
I got home, ate dinner, and got the stack of mail and sat on the sofa to go through it. I felt better than when I left, but still not great.
You know that song that says "His eye is on the sparrow, and I know He cares for me"?
Well, there was a bubble envelope in the mail from Texas, and it was for me!!
I knew exactly who it was from because this special friend won a little something from me a month or so ago.
I read the sweet note she included (also adorable and handmade)
And then I hurriedly opened the package and to my sheer delight it was full of little birdies from no other than the amazingly talented TAMI at Aunt Mimi's Creations!!!
My eyes were full of joyful tears as I pulled out one after another lovely handmade cards and tags.
Here they are all together...absolutely glorious!!

Precious Tami, you have no idea how much this charming, thoughtful surprise transformed my evening, and lifted my spirits!!
I thank my God for you and how He used you to truly minister His goodness to me...just when I really needed it!! Thank you so very much for these enchanting pieces of artwork that you poured your time into, and blessed me with.
Hope you all enjoyed viewing her work. You can always see more over at her blog!
If you haven't visited her...you should!! You'll find some beautiful things, and a great friend!!
Joyful blessings,
Becky

ReplyDeleteIsn't it wonderful how the Lord speaks to our hearts through others? Those are some really beautiful cards Tammi and what a lovely friend you are... :)
ReplyDeleteMaybe the little bird just found another place to nest. It is really fun to watch...but it is really better for them to nest away from humans and their pets. My mom has a little family of birds that nests in a plant on her patio. My mother really has to watch over them carefully so that her dogs don't disturb. There is always that chance that the momma bird will get spooked and abandon the eggs or chicks. I hope she comes back to visit you. Big hugs!
aaww.. that was so sweet.
ReplyDeletemust have taken her some time to put all that together too.. bless her heart! hugs-
Becky,

Hi Becky--what great goodies. I hope your bird comes back. My neighbor had a bird build a nest in her front door wreath and it did lay eggs and hatch babies there. She had to give up using her front door for several weeks!
ReplyDeleteBecky I hope your little birdie returns,I love watching the little birds at my home, they bring such pleasure to my heart.Your friend sent you some wonderful gifts just at the time you needed a little lifting up.It is amazing how Gods love works isn't it.
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful Tami sent you the birds just when you needed a lift up to your tree to see the birds eye view! Now you can dangle your feet and watch the birds as the fly! Thinking of you and praying you can see through the branches and see the beauty of life!
ReplyDeleteBecky, if the bird has left it's nest, why not place it on a wreath with an faux bird.
ReplyDeletePS I am having a Tea Party in my home for my Birthday on April 5th. I would love for you to join in and have a Tea Party at your home. This is an annnual event only. For I cannot do this often, for Doc may have other plans for me.
I think we are flying high on the wings of a bird. Hope we have a soft landing in your tree!
