Hey didn't know if you all had heard yet, but there is a
computer worm...
No...not a nice one like Lowly here...
a destructive one that is supposed to be
released tomorrow...April Fool's Day.
They don't know if it will do much damage, but
I heard someone say if you do not need your computer tomorrow
TURN IT OFF!!!
That's the only sure-fire way not to have any
problems with Conficker.
Here is a link to help those who are more computer
savvy than I protect against possible damage.
I am turning off for tomorrow!!
NO WE DID IT! WEDNESDAY
We will resume next week!!
Please protect your computer one way or another!
Blessings and hugs,
Becky
Thanks for the tip Becky - I hadn't heard about this at all, so I'll definitely be checking out after I read my blogs and emails! Will miss you tomorrow, but will especially look forward to next week's We did it Weds!! Love and prayers dear one! Fiona x
ReplyDeleteCan you hear me crying from way up here in PA??? I already did my post for tomorrow!! But that's okay, better to be safe than read a silly post from me! I will save my We Did It Wednesday post for next Wednesday...I'm so organized!!! Will miss your smile tomorrow!
ReplyDeleteMy husband who is an IT smarty pants said that this is only a Windows virus and will only affect computers that run on windows. So if you have Firefox (like me) or Safari or some other non-windows system you will be ok. I was quite relieved when he told me that. I thought for sure I'd have to go computer free tomorrow! fingers crossed for everyone!
ReplyDeleteHey, Becky! Thanks for the reminder! I did see something about it on the news on Sunday...and they say kids from another country are behind it! We truly need to keep the youth of today in our prayers.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Susan
I am right there with you sister, I will not be turning on my computer either. Now if I just remember not to that! hehehe! Guess I will be leaving a note on my computer tonight! ;O)
ReplyDeleteIt will give me more time to work on items for the shop instead of being on the computer all the time!!
Have a great day tomorrow!!
Hugs~ T
Oh darn and I have Windows too...I had firefox but my husband took wouldn't put it on my new computer...and I liked firefox! Oh well I'll just shut down for tomorrow...perhaps go out and take some pictures of beautiful spring!

ReplyDeleteThanks for the reminder. I just hate that some folks take such pleasure in creating problems for others.
ReplyDeleteYikes! That's crazy!
ReplyDeleteStay Cozy, Carrie
Thanks Becky...So glad to be a Mac user =-)
ReplyDeleteI'll check back with you later this week.
Enjoy your day off...smiles! Lilly
even if someone used Conficker to steal my credit card info, there wouldn't be any credit there for them to exploit or spend
ReplyDeleteI never heard anything about that. Some people can be so mean sometimes. Shame.
