Cup of JOY~~Don't Blink!

Last Friday we took Maddy up to my sister's house to go to the National Peanut Festival~~a must do every year!!  We went on to the hunting camp to do some pre-season work, and enjoy some "Me and my HUNK time".

My hunk loves country music, and when we were driving, I heard a song by Kenny Chesney from 2008 called "Don't Blink".

It's funny sometimes where inspiration comes from, and this song is a great example.  It's about life, slowing down, setting priorities, and truly focusing on what is important.

IT REALLY TOUCHED MY HEART!

Here is the video...I hope you'll give a listen...and really think about the lyrics.

"Lord, make me to know my end,
And what is the measure of my days,
That I may know how frail I am.

Indeed, You have made my days as handbreadths,
and my age is nothing before You.

Certainly every man at his best state is but vapor.

Psalm 39:4-5

May you find the JOY in setting your priorities,

and knowing that you are filling your days with

what is important to God!

Don't you love the little birdy down my signature?
Edie did that as a surprise for me,
because she knows how much I love birds!!
She is something else!!
What a blessing!

Blessings and Hugs, Becky

  1. I'm going to take the time to listen, Becky! I have been convicted about this "smelling the roses" lately, and I often wonder if time hasn't just speeded up to hasten the Lord's return. It's like you want to be sure and live every second to its fullest and not squander a thing.

    XO,

    Sheila :-)
