Why I Can Barely Move!

Hey Sweeties!!

Whatcha been up to today??
Well, I Can Barely Move!
Why, you ask?
Today me and hubby cut, raked, pulled down to
the street, loaded and unloaded at the dump
another 1/2 ton of overgrowth from two wooded
corners of our back yard!!! That makes a grand
total of 1 ton that we have hauled away
in the last 2 weeks!!
TALK ABOUT A WORK OUT!!!
Silly me forgot to snap a before pic, but

TA-DA!!!!
This is what the left corner looks like now!!

Wherever you see sand...there were palmetto bushes
vines, and lot and lots of leaves and sticks.
It really was nice to look at, but will be even
nicer when we're done with it!!

This is a pic of the right side. We still have some
issues with vines to deal with here, a large stump,
a little bit of fence repair, and a couple of small trees
we will be taking down,
then I can begin designing the landscaping!!
YES!!! My favorite part!!!

All the brown stuff in the tree is dead vine!!

We have an additional 25 ft. of property behind
the fence that is designated as a conservation area.
This next picture shows the vine growth on the
trees behind the fence (that we aren't allowed to
maintain) and which consequently ends up in the
trees on the inside of the fence!!

So aggravating, but we're finally getting it
dealt with!

So there you have it. After doing major laps in the
pool, and 35 minutes of intense leg and
arm exercises yesterday...
I did this today, and now you know why

I CAN BARELY MOVE TONIGHT!!
One thing I do like about aching muscles
is that you know you got a good work out!!
Tomorrow we are

CHILLIN' AND GRILLIN'!!

What about you???

HAVE A VERY HAPPY
4TH OF JULY CELEBRATION!!
Love ya'll!!
Becky

  1. If though it can be a killer, doesn't it feel great to get a dreaded task done, muscle aches and all? You deserve some pats on the back, so come on over here and maybe even get a mini back massage too!

    blessings with hugs,

    marcy

  3. My husband is the one that is achey everywhere as he too worked outdoors all day...with my ankle brace...I hobbled to a few yard sales..a Thrift store...and JoAnne's...I am so afraid the podiatrist is going to put me on foot rest...so I am pushing myself..just in case..that sounds good to me..
tomorrow we are staying home and grillin'....Rib eye steaks...and then making sure the crazies behind us don't light our house on fire with fireworks and also to keep our little dog secure..celebrating low-keyed which is fine to me..
hope you are feeling better in the morning...if you can.ICE..ice ice..those hurting muscles...I am proud of you, you young thing..you...you go girl!

  11. Becky I admire you work out and all your exercising. I am not so good at that but I keep trying. Today I have been shopping and cooking all day as our daughter, Jennifer and her husband Lowell are coming for a visit. Of course with them come four beautiful granddaughters including Miss Hazie! She has never been here before. It is the first time they are venturing so far away from her hospital and wouldn't you know she has been having a fever. Poor little kid, honestly!

So we are praying everyone will be able to come. Jen and the other girls will come for sure and a friend of ours from Scotland named Paul. So I am cooking and praying we will have seven guests instead of five. it is like cooking for an army when you are used to cooking for two. Enjoy your grilling tomorrow.

    Love you,

    Bon
