"Quit living as if the purpose of life is to arrive safely at death. Grab life by the mane. Set God-sized goals. Pursue God-ordained passions. Go after a dream that is destined to fail without divine intervention.
Keep asking questions. Keep making mistakes. Keep seeking God. Stop pointing out problems and become part of the solution. Stop repeating the past and start creating the future. Stop playing it safe and start taking risks. Expand your horizons.
Accumulate experiences. Consider the lilies. Enjoy the journey. Find every excuse you can to celebrate everything you can. Live like today is the first day and last day of your life.
Don't let what's wrong with you keep you from worshipping what's right with God. Burn sinful bridges. Blaze a new trail. Criticize by creating.
Worry less about what people think and more about what God thinks. Don't try to be who you're not. Be yourself. Laugh at yourself. Quit holding out.
Quit holding back. Quit running away.
Chase the lion."

I love this, Yes there is so much in this article to live by! Thank you! Now I need the picture of the eagle! My first Grandson, I call Soaring Eagle. I love to grab a copy of it! Hubby want to hit Florida soon! I got so much going on in the house. Before surgeries, but some time in Florida would be great! I trying to get him to buy my daughter's van. Great for traveling and hauling Grandchildren. lol Its a 1998, he not so sure about it. But it will be my get away van! lol We sold my new car, because when working traveling it just sat in the yard, for 10 months and we paid a note. Then there is me not driving, but that is going to come soon, as I get a Van! lol I want to be free to go where I want! Thanks for this post!
ReplyDeletePS He says the van will sit in the yard as I am going to surgery this summer, and will not be allowed to drive for who knows when. Doc says 10-15 min a day now. It has been 4 years, I am so ready to go out and drive! lol
ReplyDeleteit's beautiful. great idea to frame it too.

amen amen amen sis..I LOVED this....WOW..
I loved that post. Words that open a new world up to those of us who have been shut up inside a box for too long. Like me. :) Thanks!
ReplyDeleteWhat a breath-taking, incredible, inspirational, beautiful post Becky!! A post meant to change attitudes; a post meant to make us look at our hearts and see what is truly there - this is not a dress rehersal, and not using the talents He has given us is such a dreadful waste. Above all - it is a call for us to BELIEVE!!! All things are possible for us through Him.
ReplyDeleteMuch love to you, now and always, Fiona x
I love this Beck....I mean I love it...but right now I am so tired of the fatigue from the fibro and things that I think...SOAR....."Lord, sometimes...just getting dressed has been rough"....I try not to give in to it..but fatigue has a way of winning...I think I will print this out too..and figure out how I can make this apply in my life.

ReplyDeleteHello Dear Friend,
ReplyDeleteI loved you sharing these thoughts, and it does sum everything up, I just wish I could practice this advice all of the time, but I know I am a work still in progress. I have sooo missed you, and hope i can find a way to not be away so long. I have really had withdrawals from blogging.
I looked at your post on your get away, and it seems you had a great time, I am so glad for you, dh and I keep saying we need a mini trip, but don't know how we can right now. I could not help but notice the picture of the sign of the bookstore, are you like me wherever i go i am always looking a bookstore, not only for the books but they have the neatest finds in them..
Have a blessed day,
Hugs and much love,
Sue
I agree!!! I think quite a few people live in the past remembering all the wrong things they've done and have forgotten that once they've come to Jesus, those things are GONE!!! Great post, great quotes!
ReplyDeleteHi Becky,
ReplyDeleteDoesn't that say it all. I will have to remember to always search the positive we have so much in our lives. Thanks for the inspiration.

Beautiful blog. Thanks for visiting my place. This piece is so appropriate for so many people. I recently commented to my sister that I thought she was so brave and adventuresome for for going with her church to places like Mexico and Bulgaria on service missions. I told her I'm such a fraidy cat I can't imagine leaving the safety of our country's borders. It floored me when she replied that I was the brave one and how she looked up to me for adopting two waiting children. I guess we all have it in us. We just need someone to point it out.

Oh dear, I was just reading some of your older posts and came across the one about planning to have an Etsy shop called "Sunny Daze". And I thought I was being so original. Hope you don't mind if I keep my screen name. I promise I won't use it to sell anything! Oh well, great minds think alike.

Beautiful post dear Becky! I whole heartedly agree. Wow, what an amazing picture your brother took. It is beautiful! Bless your heart for sharing this. Hugs, Elena
ReplyDeleteI love that Becky! There's nothing else to add to it. It's all said there. Awesome!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the compliments on the header pic at my blog. I've gotten more wonderful comments about that one. Who knows? I'm just sad the blooms don't last all summer. Wouldn't that be wonderful! :)
Hugs!

That is really beautiful! I think I'll cross stitch it...will take awhile but worth it.
ReplyDeleteThe picture is really beautiful. We had some eagles nest in our area last year...which is very odd. I wish I could have got some pictures of them while they were here.
Hi Becky, thank you for your sweet comment and visit today. I'm afraid my visiting has fallen off a quite bit since we are on vacation. We are having a wonderful time. Tomorrow I am posting some photos we took today in the Rocky Mountains. Like you, I am definitely a Smokey Mountain girl.
ReplyDeleteYour post today is so meaningful. The eagle photo your brother took is amazing. Loved it. the poem is so inspiring to do more and live life fuller. Thank you for sharing that beautiful sentiment.
Hugs...Jeanne
