Happy Wednesday!

Well hello everyone!!!  There you are!
Sorry to have been away so long!!
So much going on at one time!!!!
Thanks so much to those of you who have checked in on me!!
You are so wonderful!

Hope your week is going well!
Mine is, though this week I am saying farewell to my closest friend.

She and her family are moving to NC on Saturday...my heart is heavy.

Maddy's BFF is her daughter, so we are both experiencing a loss.
Hopefully, we will see them when we head up that way for my
family reunion this summer.  Please pray for all of us as we transition
through this.

I read this quote the other day and just love it:

LIFE IS CHANGE.  GROWTH IS OPTIONAL.

I try to learn from life experiences like these.
I want to grow through them, and have them yield the
beneficial fruit that they should.

That doesn't mean it won't hurt sometimes.
That doesn't mean I won't cry.
It doesn't even mean that I won't be a little angry.

But it does mean that I will intentionally choose to move through
the aforementioned as quickly as possible, and look forward with
anticipation to all God has for me in the days and weeks to come!!

We all always have something we have to deal with

We can choose to belabor it, and let it weigh us down, and
keep us from experiencing God's best, or we can choose to

praise Him in the midst of it,

ask for His wisdom, comfort, or whatever it is we need,
turning our focus instead  to Him and our many...and I mean
many blessings!!

So, today I am praising Him for the wonderful gift
of  DeAnn's friendship for the past 13 years.  We have
shared so very much, and she will forever be close in my heart!
Bless her and keep her, Lord, and give her joy in this new adventure!

What are you praising Him for today?

Love ya bunches!!

Blessings and Hugs, Becky

  9. Morning Sweetie,
What a lovely post, and oh so true! Life is very painful at times and seems to always be in flux,
not much stays the same, but as we learn more and more to praise Him in all things and keep our eyes and heart focused on Him and what He is wanting us to learn from these experiences I find they become more of an adventure.
I heart hears yours in this loss.....I remember only too well when my best friend Vicki, truly a soul mate, moved away years ago, I thought my
heart would break in half, she was like the sister I never had, and we both had to keep reminding ourselves we were only a phone call away, and that did help! Although, we don't see each other that often, anytime, we talk on the phone it is like we pick up where we left off,
and have never been apart. I am sure that will happen for you and DeAnn as well. Know I will
be praying for you and Maddie and for DeAnn and her daughter, as I am sure they are having the same feelings as you and Maddie.

On another note.......Love your new header, it is really beautiful and the colors are so subtle and refreshing. Very Very Nice!
    Have a good day hon,
    Love ya, Nellie

  10. I'm sorry to hear about your closest friend moving away. Mine did that when my twins were babies, but they moved back 3 years later. The distance didn't seem to matter while she was away though, we still stayed best of friends.
    Lovely post Becky :-)
    Blessings,
    Marcia

  11. Becky, every time I turn on our local christian radio station, I hear a song about holding on, holding fast, holding tight. Such great reminders in the midst of our days.
I would be HONORED to make you a bird canvas for your studio!!!! I would charge $15, but if you like, we could swap it for something out of your etsy store if that would be easier.
    let me know!

  15. so glad you posted! Sorry your friend is moving away! Thankful that we now have other ways to stay in touch besides letter writing and long distance phone calls! Don't even think my kids know what a long distance phone call is!

    Hope all is going well!!!

  16. Hey Beck,
I'm so sorry that you have to loose DeAnn right now and for how difficult this is on Maddy as well. As you said, it is perfectly acceptable to be sorrowful and even angry. Life just doesn't seem fair!
But GOD will keep you both close...I know this for a fact. My precious friends from Seattle have always been a haven for my heart, and I know that even as DeAnn moves you carry each others' hearts! How very precious!

With my move imminent, I too, will miss you greatly. Trusting GOD that He knows what he is doing...
    Hugs and blessings dearest friend.

  17. Hi Becky,
Just stopping by to see what you have been up to. I know how it feels to have a friend move away..but now with skpe, email, facebook and all the other ways of talking it makes it a lot easier when writing letters the old fashion way.
Have a sweet day and big hugs, Elizabeth
