Well it sure felt like it yesterday when I checked the mail and a box from far away arrived chock full of lovely goodies!!
My name was recently drawn as the winner of a giveaway over at my friend Spencer’s blog Bellamere Cottage!!!
Spencer is such a wonderfully talented, warm-hearted lady, and I’m so glad we met in blogland. She has an incredible eye for whatever is pretty and cozy, and has gifted hands to help her create all manner of beautiful things for her cottage home. Go say Hi, won’t you??!!
She sent me some of her handiwork and some other treasures and pleasures!!
She wrapped the box perfectly and doodled a lovely flower design all around my address. Details…I just love attention to detail, and Spencer covered it all!!

This has inspired me to get some pieces to use with it for coffee, or lunch with friends!
A bright cheerful dish towel from Crate and Barrel. Yes, I do have a thing for pretty dishtowels. Shhhh! Not an addiction…just a thing, ok??!!
And finally, a sweet vintage handmade potholder that Spencer says NOT to use to handle hot pots!! OUCH!!! Just a pretty to enjoy!!

Ahhhhhhhhh.......My sweet Becky.....You are so dear....and made me cry! I'm so happy you were pleased..........don'tcha just love that smell? It's a Bath and Body Works spritz called Sea Island Cotton.....It's really a personal body spray, but I love the smell of it so much I spray it all over the place. YUM! I'm so blessed to have been part of cheering up your day....

What a blessing! Isn't it neat how when we need a little something extra, God lays us on someones heart or lets us win a drawing or something. You are such a blessing and a bright spot in my life and I'm thankful for you!
I pray you are still feeling better. We are having winter again here in MS. Our neighbors about 25 miles from us got about 6 inches of snow. We didn't get any, but it is sure cold! ReplyDeleteI used to be an artist until the kids were born. I took many water color classes. It was tricky and it takes lots of practice, but it's not to difficult. I like DVD's too for the same reason. We stopped and started you tube videos a 1,000 times to learn knitting.
I hope to get to Jacksonville soon. We should get together. Isn't that where you live?

ReplyDeleteHope you're enjoying a good day! We've had tons of snow. Tons. Was without power for a few hours, which was awful. The snow plow guy got stuck in my driveway and had to call a tow truck to get him out. Now the wind is blowing something fierce.
