This is for all of my lovely bloggy friends out there who are already having to cozy up to the fire for warmth! Maybe this will help!! ENJOY!!
We ventured out to the beach last week, and I must tell you it was absolutely DIVINE!!!
Look at this collage of cloud photos. Doesn’t it look like a cloud trail that some of God’s mighty angel’s wings would make if we could see it?? Too cool!!!
When it is high tide, no cars can drive on the beach. There was hardly anyone there (just how I like it) and mild enough that we never broke a sweat. Ahhhh….LIFE IS GOOD!!
The surf was a bit rough, so no boogy boarding today! :o( Meh!!!!!
Even the lifeguard was just soaking it all in since no one was in the water nearby.
Little Miss Em!!
I just love this shot!!!
Sam pointed out this pelican to me that was just riding the surf in. In all of my almost 31 years of beachin’ it here, I have never seen a pelican do this.
He just stood on the beach for almost 30 minutes and let me get within about 15 feet of him. I think he is the old, wise one that is the head honcho, ya know!
Two little sandpipers came for a visit!! You can get an idea of his size by looking at them. He was very big!
My in-laws used to own a beach house on New Smyrna Beach, and all we had to do was walk down steps like these to the shore. Those were the days!!
A lone seagull just gazing about
I love that I caught the action of this little guy’s trot! They are SO much fun to watch with their fast little walks!! And this one is especially pretty!
A couple of sailboats in the distance. Do you see the little line of sandpipers along the shore? Too cute!!!
Thanks for coming along today, friends!!
Sure wish you could have been there with us!!
If I don’t get the opportunity again, I’d like to wish you a very Happy Thanksgiving full of praises to God for all of His blessings in your lives.
You each are a blessing I am giving thanks for!!
Love you,
Becky
Hi Becky, I can't believe I'm first. I was just getting off and noticed you had posted. I
ReplyDelete'm glad I didn't miss it. These pics are GORGEOUS! Obviously being a Cal. gal I too have spent so much of my life at the beach, but I don't go much this time of year. Must be much nicer there. That pelican is HUGE..haha I can't think of anything much nicer than a house on the beach. How fun. We have rented one a couple of times in the summertime and it is wonderous. I LOVE the beach. Definitely one of my favorite places. I'd retire there if I had any money, haha....I can't believe how well you caught that little bird in motion. Quite good, I'm impressed, lol I made my place cards today (finally) and they are not even close to as cute/good as yours but I am happy with them. I put a scripture on the inside of everyone and thought that when we pray before dinner everyone can read their verse. We have 3 attending who are not Christian, so who knows what the Word might do to their hearts. Have a WONDERFUL WONDERFUL Thanksgiving my new friend. Much love and hugs to you. Debbie
Great shots Beck!
ReplyDeleteI agree that the one of Em is very precious!
And I love this music you've posted...so soothing.
Let's catch up before I head south, okay?
A Blessed Thanksgiving to you and yours too!
Love you!

ReplyDeleteEverything from the cloud photos to your little Em to the blessing... perfect!
ReplyDeleteHappy Thanksgiving and blessings to you in return, sweetest Becky!

There is something so wrong about you being able to go to the beach the week of THanksgiving. Oh I know what's really wrong about it, I'm not there with you!!! Love the pictures of the clouds. They're so beautiful. I love looking at the sky and watching God's beauty! I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving and all your plans and cooking turn out beautifully!! Post pictures!
ReplyDeleteThat was such a pleasant diversion as I am sitting here freezing tonight. Thanks, Becky! The photos are beautiful, especially that little back view of Emily! So precious.
ReplyDeleteA very Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours, Becky!
Love and hugs,
Bonnie
Hi Becky,
ReplyDeleteWhat great beach photos and I felt like I was there with the sounds of the sea playing along as I viewed the pics. I like pelicans - I don't know why - but love watching them. We saw some while at Myrtle Beach last month but not as close as you did. That was neat!

Oh Miss Becky! Happy Thanksgiving to YOU!
ReplyDeleteThese are beautiful shots. Thanks for taking us along! :)

Beautiful post! And thanks for taking us to the beach!
ReplyDeleteI loved all the photos but especially those first pictures! For sure God's Handiwork! And maybe a little help from Angel wings!
Have a very Blessed Thanksgiving!
Enjoy!
Love and Prayers,
Eileen
Hi Becky,
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos. Love the cloud pictures. They really do remind you of angle wings! I like the photo of Little Em playing in the sand. The sand is amazing in that photo. Hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Hi Becky,
ReplyDeleteI'm just getting ready to go to bed and checked my blog and saw your comment. No, I've never sold any of my dish cloths. I just started crocheting again this year. I made so many of the dish cloths I think my hubby was worried because they were piling up so he suggested I give them away. I thought that was a great idea since I didn't need that many just for me. For becoming my 9th follower if you would like a set I would be happy to make one for you. Let me know if you would like a set (no charge to you!) and what colors. It's good practice for me. We just returned from an RV trip to the Florida Keys and WDW. I love Florida!

Morning Beck,
ReplyDeleteOh, those pics of the beach are a wonderful reminder of our summer vacation. Love the pics of the sky, they do look like Angel wing trails! You have such a good imagination!
Maybe we will get a chance to talk today hopefully. Not sure if I am going Christmas shopping with Dee or not, maybe! I would much
rather go today than once the season starts.
Jim is off starting tomorrow thru the rest of the week. Thanks for your prayers for his stress test, I should find out today or Tomorrow when he will have it.
Thanks for the trip to the beach I will be thinking about those memories of summer all day now!! Thanks!
Love ya, Nellie
Oh dear Becky...what beautiful pictures you captured of God's creation! LOVE the clouds! Hope all is well with you and yours and you all have a very blessed and happy Thanksgiving! I thank God for you. Much love, Liesa
ReplyDeleteHi Becky,
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photo's of the beach! I love the beach too, but we haven't had the chance to go lately so seeing your photo's was the next best perfect thing as being there myself.
Your place cards are great and so pretty! You did a wonderful job!
Wishing you and your adorable family a very happy thanksgiving and many blessings,
Elizabeth
That is so funny - I just came into work from outside and I was talking about how cold it is! You have a happy Thanksgiving too and enjoy your family!
ReplyDeleteHow cool to live so close to the beach! It's just beautiful and such a great reminder of God's mighty creation!
ReplyDeleteHappy Thanksgiving!
absolutely gorgeous. i can't wait until May when we can go to Siesta Key Fl for our annual vacation. I love the beach!
ReplyDeleteTo dearest Becky, a gorgeous sunshine post - exactly what is needed on a grey Northern Ireland day! I have posted on my blog today thanks to your gentle push in the right direction. Thank you for your posts, for your friendship, for your prayers and for making such a difference. Fiona x
ReplyDeleteJust a beautiful Mosaic ~ amazing cloud formations! I am so new to your blog and already find you to be a very sweet person! I'm going to find a few minutes to peruse some of your past posts, just to get to know you better!
ReplyDeleteOh Becky those pictures are just beatiful! I loved the cloud ones. It looked like beautiful finger painting in the sky. The beaches are so lovely in Florida. My husband was there many years ago and he said the beached were so wide and so warm. I love to watch the ocean birds too. When we lived near San Diego when we were first married we loved to watch the pelicans just glide over the surf. It looked like they didn't even move their wings for miles. Thank you so much for sharing your day at the beach and have a wonderful Thanksgiving! Hugs, Elena
ReplyDeleteOh Becky-
ReplyDeleteIt's like going on vacation coming over to visit you in Florida! So many different things to look at and enjoy! Beautiful pictures! I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving with your family. Know you are loved XOXOX

Just gorgeous. Love the cloud pictures. I am so jealous! My cousins are heading this way on Wednesday to spend Thanksgiving with us. They are from Jacksonville. LONG drive. They called and asked if I would order them up some cold weather while they are here. I reported that it will be in the low 30's Thanksgiving morn, but can't guarantee that...cuz this is Texas. It changes like the wind.
ReplyDeleteHave a Happy Thanksgiving and thanks for the sweet comments on my blog.
Hugs...tara
Looks like it might snow in Michigan this week.
ReplyDeleteFunny thing...I was at NSB twice last week! Great shots...better than mine because I took most of mine too close to sun down.
Are you in town this week?
Oh wow...I'm a little jealous of your warm weather! It is actually a little chilly here in Southeast Texas. Em has gotten so big...and so CUTE!
ReplyDeleteI love all of the picture but my favorite is the clouds. It really does look like Angel wings. Sometimes when I see something that looks Heavenly..I wonder if it actually is exactly what we think. Maybe God gave you a little preview.
Anyway...I know you will have a wonderful Thanksgiving with your family and lots of great food. Enjoy! I am grateful for you Becky... and know that you will be included in my prayer of thanks. :)
Here is foggy, rainy and very cold! So your beachy pics made me green with envy! Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family!
