Pretty Thanksgiving Menu and Place Cards!

Happee Wednesday, Gals!!

Hope your day started off with a Thank You, Lord, and that the rest of it will be filled with sunshine!!

After scouring the internet for Thanksgiving place card ideas I finally found one that just fit into my simple elegance theme.

The cool thing is that the idea is one from the second blog I had ever been on and found by accident.  That would be Kelli’s blog There is No Place Like Home!!
If you aren’t familiar with her blog you simply must go visit!!  It is a feast for those who desire the simple loveliness of life, and a great resource for ideas and recipes!  Her blog is so warm and welcoming…just like home should be!  She didn’t know it, but her blog was one of the two I stumbled on that inspired me to start mine!

Here are the place cards and menus I will be making.  I have to go to JoAnn in a little bit to see if I can find the right papers…Michael’s didn’t have them.  The link for this post is here.  There were more fancy ones, whimsical ones, but these are just perfectly lovely and understated in their simplicity.

I will probably add some ribbon or dried embellishments to the place cards, and will use fallish colored papers.  I can’t wait to get them done!

I really love these menus, too!!

Thanks, Kelli, for adding to our Thanksgiving celebration with the ideas you have shared!!

I should make mine tonight, and will post them tomorrow!

Have a blessed day and share the song in your heart with someone today, ok?

  8. What a classy touch to the table these will make.I am going to do something a little quirky for Christmas, I am making tie shaped boxes for the Gentelmen and handbag boxes for the ladies instead of crackers. And putting there names on them so I dont have to make palce settings.

Just wanted to ask for prayer for me as I fighting swine flu at the moment. Its really knocked me for six.

  9. Beautiful!! I love them! I usually make place cards for our Thanksgiving table and put scripture verses on the inside. We all take turns reading the verses. The verses are always thankful/praise verses. I usually just use card stock and print them on the computer but these are so pretty. I'm going to see if I can incorporate some of Kelly's ideas next year. I'm not doing Thanksgiving this year.

Can't wait to see yours!!! Please post them! And PLEASE come by my blog today. I wrote about you!

  10. The place cards and menus are lovely. That is how I met you was through Kelli's blog on the Show and Tell Friday! I just love her blog too! I can't wait to see your place cards. Have a blessed day dear friend! Elena

  11. So elegant! I love it!

I've been here a few times today...just trying to catch up with the blogs I missed. :)

  12. Hi Becky!
Thank you so much for sharing my place cards! I can't wait to see yours, I know they will be beautiful!

  13. Hey Beck,

    Just "checking in!"
I love the menu idea...have never done that.
But often at Thanksgiving I make a turkey out of construction paper...oh about 15 inches high with removable colored feathers. Each guest gets a feather to write on.
You guessed it...we each write something we are THANKFUL for on the feather we receive and then attach to the turkey with the Pilgrim hat. After sharing around the table we have a "dressed" turkey!

    Have a Blessed day!
    Love you.

  14. Hi Becky,
I made Menu cards for my daughters wedding. It was a lot of fun and it looked really pretty on the table. I will go for a visit to Kelli's.
Gary is cooking our Thanksgiving dinner this year for me and the ladies in our family are going to help him. I can't wait to see how they all do in my tiny kitchen, we call it a (one butt kitchen)LOL.
Take care and enjoy your day,

  15. They are very pretty, can't wait to see how they all turn out!

WHEN I GET MY HOUSE IN ORDER... I'm comin back here to rub elbows with you... promise me you'll rub all this awesome decorating off on me k?
I could use some serious help. lol

Thank you so much for taking the time to share some JOY!
You're a blessing to me!
