Serene Sunday

Hi girls! Wishing you a serene and joyful Sunday!!

Some of you who live in the more extreme climate zones may really appreciate this pic. This is what's blooming in my back yard here in sunny Florida. I know, I know...I am definitely spoiled!! I truly love walking outside and seeing what has happened while I was downing that delicious first cup of coffee!! This is a Hibiscus for those who may not know and this one is out of control. It is located in it's happy place and we can barely keep up with managing the growth. All we have had is a slight frost so far and the frosts seem to only make more abundant blooms next year!!

I have a thing for sunsets, and this is the sun setting over the house across the street from mine. Palm trees, lovely sunsets and sunrises, blue skies and the beach. It just doesn't get any better than that...or does it????

What do you like best about where you live?? Please share!!
Oh...I almost forgot to tell you... We're getting our Christmas tree today!!! I'll have some pics of our trip to Santa's Christmas Tree Forest on Monday!! It's such a fun place!! YAY!!!

Kelli graciously hosts this show and tell..Thank you, Kelli!! Hope you'll check out her blog and all the other show and tell participants! You can click here http://kellishouse.blogspot.com/ to see more!!

Today I am sharing with you a basket made from Christmas cards that my Mom made 25-30 years ago with her church for a fundraiser. She also made one for each of her six children. This is mine, and I love it more each year! They cut out the cards, punched holes around them, crocheted them together and put a clear sealer over it all. The cards are so sweet. My Mom really enjoyed making these. I'm still not great at photography, but I think you can see the detail, and how pretty it is.

Have a joyful weekend!!

My Journey Back to Joy

This is a pretty little angel of "Faith, Hope & Love" with a pocketful of dreams, and was a gift from a special friend. Isn't she darling? I am a woman with a strong faith, boundless hope, and a heart full of love. I also have a pocketful of dreams, or more aptly put, "visions", of the woman God is shaping me into and His desires for my life. Four years ago both of my parents went to be with the Lord just a few short months apart. I had always been a joyful, fun-loving person, and experiencing this loss caused me sadness at a level that is totally indescribable. Since then, my journey back to joy has been a bit uphill, BUT GOD IS FAITHFUL!!! This year He put a new song in my heart, has begun to restore my joy, and helped me to appreciate the goodness, beauty and joy in each day of life He blesses me with, no matter what the day holds.

I hope and pray that in this new day, which is a gift from God, you will bless those you love with a big hug, and tell them how much you love them...that you will embrace today, and everything in it, good, bad, easy, difficult as a day you don't get a chance to do over, and make it count for the Lord. Tell Him your dreams (He knows them anyway :) , your fears, your concerns, and don't let your circumstances steal the opportunity to experience all of His goodness and blessings. Remember, He is in all, through all, and over all.

Have a wonderfully blessed day!!

P.S. Remember to sprinkle your JOY around!!
